Constant debates

I HATE the constant debates and 'talk shows' big brother makes the housemates do just to cause arguments. Its ruining my enjoyment of the show because its all so contrived. Surely theres a way to create arguments a little more subtly.

it's sad.

StephenPullen 31-05-2015 09:44 PM

They're all so fake and contrived to try and fabricate arguments. If only the housemates didn't rise to them in the way they are currently doing, they would probably cease and desist with them.

Very contrived.

I think it's a production mentality of "we need to do something"

The show is failing in terms of ratings and it's people trying to save their jobs. If it's worked in the past to get people talking and create a buzz (which it has) then they'll do it again. Plus it gives marcus something to shout about when he gives a "previously"

They don't care if the content is organic, as long as there's content. Sadly

I enjoy a good debate task, but just one each year is enough.

Jamesy 31-05-2015 10:46 PM

Sadly they don't think outside the box of tasks which can create drama but not in a blatant way. It's always a debate or a questions task. No doubt we'll see a "who do you think is the most boring" "who do you think is the bitchiest" (etc) kind of task coming soon this week...

Like LiamBB rightly says, it's the producers thinking and worrying that they need to do something to save the show.

When in reality all they need to do is create normal tasks with no forced drama and that in itself will cause drama anyway as that's what happens with team work.

It's such a dull and uninspiring way to try and create drama

Shame they edited out the bit where Simon said he wanted Joel out.
Quite like them when they're done well but it was all over in a flash.

New HMs Q & A sounds reasonable enough to me.

Rorkimaru 01-06-2015 01:27 AM

They are dumb, but Joel nailed it. The way he grilled Simon was very impressive. Remember he's only 19. He has a strong aptitude in the area.
