To preface, the jokes directed at Sam are not on and definitely need to stop. I'm thinking that they will after the aside at the end of the show and he'll go well down in my regard if they don't.

However the little bits like "that's showbiz" and the cheeky look at Simon or how he comforted Eileen despite it putting himself at risk were nice tonight. Yeah he's still a dick but there's more than that. He's carved himself a spot in the house and right now he's in danger of becoming my favourite.
