Eileen's age issue and her reaction to being nommed

Well Eileen has certainly proved that age is no issue when it comes to personality :

Her reaction to being nommed was like a freaking 6 year old!

"HOW DARE ANYONE NOMINATE ME ?? This is war !!! " etc etc

Does she not realise she is on Big Brother? Nominations are inevitable. And what makes her so above and beyond being nominated any more than the other HMs? Simon and Sam had to pick SOMEONE. She is no more 'special' than the others. Get over it girl.

Not only that - all this talk of 'Eileen's age, Eileen's age' all the time. Like age is no big deal.

But what did Eileen say in the diary room last night about Simon?

" When he came back in here i thought 'oh good - someone more my own AGE..'"

I couldn't believe it.

All the BOTS audience/panel etc defending her on the age issue saying it has no bearing.
Well listen up folks : Eileen is the one with the age issue!

She grilled Kieran over it when he made a perfectly correct comment about us people in general needing less sleep as we age (we do), yet she twisted it and made out he'd said some offensive comment, judging her on her age (which he didn't).

Then she goes and makes a comment like that in the DR saying how nice it was to have Simon back as he was more her age ! SHE is the one making judgements about age!

More insane hypocrisy and double standards in the BB house!

I think she expected to be up. it was the reason for the nominations that made her angry and i don't blame her.

They nommed Jack for similar reasons - both him and Eileen sit around all day doing little.

But Jack is a more entertaining and open person, he engages with other HMs more than Eileen and he's a better HM to watch.

When Eileen goes you won't really notice like you would if Jack went.

But Simon is around the same age as Eileen, and yet he thinks she shouldn't be there because of her age? :conf:

Yes it's another example of the hypocrisy that goes on in there!

Both seem like they have age issues, yet both seem to deny it.

Simon should have just said that he thinks she doesn't contribute to the House. That is a good reason by itself. No need to mention age.

I was just gonna make that point.

Simon who at 46 actually looks 52 :joker: is slagging off Eileen for being too old and nearly at the end of her life.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I am very disappointed with BB for allowing the housemates to nominate anyone based on their co-called 'old age'.

Coupled with the fact that the guy responsible for her nonsensical nomination was the guy she has been nothing but a friend to.

She has every right to be annoyed.

You're right there. They used terrible "reasons" for both of their nominations (Eileen's age and Jack's gambling problems), and then used the "oh and they don't contribute" as a lazy back-up.

With all due respect, you can only speak for yourself. I would definitely miss Eileen more than Jack.

Good points all through Lostie.
I too would miss Eileen far more than Jack, and I am fed up at her age being a reason to nominate her anyway.

Why bother putting people in who are over 50, if it is a valid reason to be nominated for eviction.
