Fallout 4

SO GOOD. i marked out hard!
|
REALLY glad they used in game footage, they know that people love Fallout regardless, so they didn't need to have OTT visuals.

So the main character will have a voice.
Of course it is Troy Baker. |
Holy crap so many feels
It's been so long a trailer has hyped me up like this |
Ready 4 it
|
I'm so happy right now. :flutter:
Between this, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts 3, Star Ocean 5, FFXIV, RB4, and numerous recently released ones I've not got my hands on yet, I'm going to be completely bankrupt in a years time. This time last year I wasn't interested in any of the current gen titles, now there's too many to choose from! |
I just want to hug everyone

So in Fallout 3, we heard about 'The Commonwealth' and 'The Institue' both of these were located in Boston, so it looks like they might be the main focus.

He must actually be pretty loaded... |

Hmm, I wonder what this means for character customisation? Hopefully there will still be a male and female option.
|
There's rumours that you can only be male, with the option to change gender when you finish the story
Which would suck, as I think I'd have gone with female. Side note, the graphics are getting bashed to hell. Shouldn't care but it bugs me with a game like Fallout, where graphics are really not the focus as long as they do the job, with the more focus being put (you'd assume) on world development and stories the better. Pressuring developers on graphical quality will ultimately do more damage than good. |
I hope not, I'd rather be given the option from the off. Apparently that rumour stems from some old 'leak' anyway, I can't see every line in the game being voiced, just the important ones, so they'll be able to get Jennifer Hale in to do the female voices lol.

They sure like using the Ink Spots for openings don't they?
|
It's kinda become a staple now, lol, that being said, New Vegas was Sinatra :p
|
Wouldn't mind a sequel to New Vegas sometime. It didn't have a great story but the gameplay was better than 3 I felt
|
+1 for NV. Never got the hate for it.
|
I might've enjoyed New Vegas if my copy wasn't completely glitched and didn't freeze every half hour.
|
New Vegas was good, it's game world just wasn't as fun to explore. Felt over structured/less organic and the wasteland areas were barren in comparison. As someone who just wanted to be a lone explorer, the faction and story stuff completely negated that. The strip was tiny after all the build up, and pales in comparison to DC city. Not as atmospheric either, felt more like some messed up planet rather than the post-apoc world.
Actually, **** that game :p |
I did like New Vegas, but due to it no bombs actually dropping there, it made the place seem a different atmospherically to Fallout 3. More sci-fi western.

They actually usually go around to whatever they're adapting to look at landmarks, etc. When I went to DC last year, I rode in the subway system, I was stunned to find out that the underground stops were completely accurate compared to the Fallout games. |
