APPALLING language

I sat and watched tonights show and even last nights show sickened by the absolutely AWFUL language Marc has used since he came into the house. I know bad language is featured so much in todays world and I certainly have used some of it myself down through the years ( I am
far from perfect and I am not a prude). I also know that dozens of housemates have used bad language down through the years. However I think Marc has topped it all.

There is no call or need for some of vile stuff that comes out of his mouth. By the way I am fully aware that most of the housemates swear like troopers also. Marc shouldn't be feeling proud of himself for the time he has spent in the house so far and if I were one of his family members I would be downright ASHAMED of his language. I know he has gained quite a following in here so I am not expecting many to agree with me but after tonights show I felt I had to create this thread Thoughts?

Marc says stuff to get a rise out of people. That's how you fall into his trap. At the end of the day they're only words and he rarely has malice behind them. His language cleans up a bit when he is fighting his corner and when he's really pissed he seems to prefer to just exit the conversation rather than use words to wound.

For instance the most vulgar thing he said was to Sam but he doesn't think that about her. IMO the worst thing he said was to Jack though now he even has Jack on side.

Words don't matter, intent matters.

Did you see them tits though?

ThatsMyUserName 04-06-2015 01:18 AM

Swearing is fine - but I'm sure that's not what you are on about.

I am appalled by his sexual 'banter'. It is not banter, it is inappropriate. It's as plain and simple as that. Why Big Brother have not given him a warning I'm struggling to understand.

Lstan 04-06-2015 01:20 AM

I agree Rionablue-I do like him but he needs to calm down on that sexist language whether he thinks its a laugh he comin across and a genuine *!£$&^

Calling Eileen a "coffin dodger" was beyond the pale. He's an awful man, and people like Nick are just scared of him that's why they say they like him.

Josy 04-06-2015 01:26 PM

Bad language doesn't bother me in the slightest

Ramsay 04-06-2015 01:30 PM

It's just words

As long as you have sub 30s in BB you will get bad language and people use it to sound "cool"

as they get older and they become more less desperate to impress it tails off, unless they are thick and have a limited vocabulary and have to use swear words as the more appropriate words are beyond their grasp

also marc is irish and they get taught swear words in infant school as part of the curriculum

He's right, it's true. my young one came back with an A+ on his C-untface test yesterday. Super proud!

jaxie 04-06-2015 01:51 PM

What he says doesn't bother me, I'm no prude, and Sam certainly doesn't seem to mind as she was getting all kissy face in bed with him last night.

Mick 04-06-2015 01:56 PM

I think there is a difference between banter and insult. He will know this and choses to ignore. What he said to Chloe caused hurt and that's not entertaining imo.

His bulk and presence does I suspect cause some to laugh off even excuse his rudeness because they feel intimidated.Harry has put him straight and he appears to leave her be.This says much imo.

MrWong 04-06-2015 02:09 PM

Nope. I can't muster up any outrage over appalling language

The things hm's are being disliked for this series are really weak.

kirklancaster 04-06-2015 02:23 PM

If it's no ****ing problem then why the **** do we have our ****ing cuss words replaced by bastard asterisks on here? :hehe:

StephenPullen 04-06-2015 02:32 PM

Wow, a lot of people here are so bloody prudish. Everything Marc has said so far has been said with the intent of being a joke. Never has he said anything on a malicious or negative level that was meant to personally attack other housemates.

People getting all butt-hurt over words was the reason Emily was kicked out back in 2007, which was one of the most pathetic moments of Big Brother. Once you demonize and criminalize people for using words, the planet's gone mad. Quite frankly, I'm sick of this PC bull**** which is beginning to ruin television and also the right to free speech.

Calling Eileen a coffin dodge was one of the funniest things I've seen so far. It was a joke. It was even better than Aaron being ejected.

As to quote the late Joan Rivers: "**** off, it's comedy you idiot!"

Sometimes he can be very offensive, especially when he's been drinking. But he will get away with it, unless he really goes too far.

waterhog 04-06-2015 03:07 PM

he brings the house some excitement - is he playing a game from BB i don't no but i am sure he can not keep it up. something has to crack

ebandit 04-06-2015 03:37 PM

nothing wrong with bad language............what is offensive is assembling those

words to deliberately insult
