You guys need to go on reddit.com if you dont think "text speech" is appropriate for online communties, Not only that you kinda kill the whole value of the internet by having biased volunteers to run this forum.

If speakin like dis n dat
or speaking like this n mayb that missin few letters cos my words are short when i speak sometimes
or acronyms,

I've been coming on the internet for a very very long time & people who have communties like this pretty much repulse me because thats not what the internet is about and recent years the internet has been ruined by ordinary people logging onto the internet with their small devices & the one who created the rules is obviously one of them.

So sort it out because it angers me & I see my posts removed whilst moderators are allowed to say this

Josy is a moderator, Now I've already said I'm not trying to be a jerk but my posts are removed for simple slang in a different context. You're bassicly seggrogating me because I dont speak acronyms & speak slang which comes under text speech.

thanks.

But, to be fair, IMHO isn't text speak as such. It's an abbreviation. :hee: People use abbreviations in written form too, text speak is just for... texting.

The text speech rule is one of the most irrelevant of the lot. Does anyone still use it in a non-ironic fashion? This isn't 2006

Laugh out loud

It's only the actual illiterate who use text speak in 2015.

Marsh. 11-06-2015 10:37 PM

Did you get infracted or warned for using an abbreviation?

If not, then get over it and move on.

No I just hate bigots on the Internet & I enjoy to call them out.
I've seen my posts removed because I shorten a couple words (not to the point where I sound stupid though)

MTVN 11-06-2015 10:38 PM

Everyone knows that there are widely accepted acronyms like 'tbh', 'lol', 'imo' etc. it becomes an issue when whole sentences and whole posts become compromised by people substituting every other word with a text language equivalent

Anyway there's an explanation and I don't really appreciate your tone. It's very aggressive so I'm going to close this, sorry for killing the internet mate
