Three sisters and their nine children from Bradford could have travelled to join a relative believed to be fighting in Syria.

Poor kids, what kind of stupid morons would willingly take children into a war zone?

the truth 15-06-2015 10:58 PM

are we still being called racist for talking about this?

iToby 16-06-2015 01:16 AM

Make sure they stay off the grid. When will the usa, israhel and britain realise that for every one killed in a drone/ artillary strike only serves to turn their relatives into suicide bombers...tho to be honest I think that suits israel as it gives them more excuses to go totally overboard with their response. Am not happy with germany building and paying three quarters of the cost of 6 Dolphin class submarines for israel, and even less impressed with france for fitting them out with nuclear capabilities...All for the only nuclear country that refuses to sign the non proliferation treaty...maybe the french and germans are hoping they'll be left alone when israel finally launches The Samson Option.

the truth 16-06-2015 01:40 AM

do as we do....that's what Americas enemies consider theyre now doing

If the rise of ISIS was a response to Israel I'd respond to this post, but it isn't... so...

Ninastar 16-06-2015 10:02 AM

Horrific. Those poor kids. Thats the saddest part. These children start out so innocent and then they will grow up to either be murderers or get killed themselves. Wish more could be done to help out these kids. Teachers can tell. But there is only so much that can be done.

arista 16-06-2015 02:04 PM

The Husbands can say they had no idea

But the Womens Brother is a Isis Fighter
in Syria

So it all fits in Place

Livia 16-06-2015 02:30 PM

Shameful they should take little children into a war zone. Some kind of mothers they are.

I don't care if I am labelled a racist. I hope those morons stay the hell there and never try to come back. The only ones I feel sorry for are the kids. Fancy having stupid brain dead parents like they have.

Crimson Dynamo 16-06-2015 04:49 PM

Do you not have any sympathy for the children? They have no idea as to what ISIS even is.. surely you wouldn't want them with ISIS????

Livia 16-06-2015 06:06 PM

No way should they ever be let back in the country. They are a risk to our national security.

Crimson Dynamo 16-06-2015 06:12 PM

Sadly every religion tries to persuade its followers that if they do A and B and follow C and D they will have this amazing life after death - its ideal for those with little education as it appeals to their wishful thinking and its been honed over the centuries to do just that.

Unless we target schools and stop religion seeping in this will continue. Children need to be taught that gods are fake, heaven and hell are fake, magic is fake, ghosts and mediums are fake - question everything and ask for evidence

Ignorance kills

Livia 16-06-2015 06:14 PM

What evidence do you have for love, Trumpet. Or doesn't that exist either, hmmm?

Z 16-06-2015 06:52 PM

I'm getting increasingly pissed off reading government babble like "we need to come up with a strategy to counter radicalisation and understand how people come to be radicalised" (paraphrasing) - 1) idiots are as old as time itself 2) the internet is still in the Wild West stage 3) no army can stop an idea 4) the Middle East is going through what Catholics and Protestants went through several centuries ago in Western Europe 5) there's no such thing as a 'strategy' against people going somewhere of their own accord.

These women chose to go there. Perhaps they don't quite understand what they're getting themselves into, or perhaps they completely understand. It doesn't really matter why they went - they took their children with them and it's unlikely all (or any) of them will be found alive. Sons will become soldiers and daughters will become wives/slaves. The ISIS movement is a bright light in a dark room and the people fluttering towards it are moths who don't understand why they're being fried when they land.

The only thing that the government can do is to close our borders to anyone who makes the decision to go there and make it clear that if you go, you're not coming back at all. Scare tactics are the only thing that will stop people from going. It's hard to know whether these women are victims or criminals, it's a very morally grey area. We don't know their motivations. Perhaps they were lied to or perhaps they fervently agree with the message being spread.

This is very true.

Just because you cannot prove something, does not mean it does not exist. You cannot disprove God either, and although that does not mean you should automatically believe, you certainly shouldn't act as if you're intellectually superior for being an atheist.

I'm not sure anyone knows what's going on anymore, a few years ago it was said it was foreign policy and the war which everyone in the west was 100% for (:/) but those radicalised here know we didn't want it.
They're desecrating their own history as we did, that's an idea that still rumbles on today.
It could be the romanticised image of a motherland', a desire to help relatives, misinformation and lies, social and or religious manipulation.
The same tactics are used to get kids to join our army so it figures it will work to employ the same tactics.

Livia 17-06-2015 09:31 AM

The same tactics that ISIS use are used to get people to join the BRITISH Army?

That's the most ridiculous thing I've read on here for ages.

"The same" as in identical tactics aren't used, but it would be incorrect to say that there are no similarities. Even moreso in the US. Patriotism, ideology, "protecting our way of life", and of course the Big Guy in the Sky are utilized pretty heavily in military recruitment. Is it all that different? Pointing out that the recruitment tactics are similar isn't the same as saying that the "end game" is the same.

Then again, in recent years in the UK the main tactic has been to promote it as an opportunity for self-development (you will learn X,Y,Z, you will travel the world, you will experience blah you will become blah blah blah), which I suppose pretty accurately reflects our culture.
