Final Fantasy VII Remake - Will be split into multiple full sized games
It should be noted, three of FF's biggest developers are working on the game, Nojima, Nomura and Kitase |

That pop when the remake word came around
Thank **** it's only timed exclusive to PS4 though  |

Can you imagine what some of the cutscenes are going to be like? The plate dropping? Sapphire Weapon vs the Junon cannon? Dribbling.
All I can say though... is that it better still have Chocobo breeding and racing. And the Bike and Snowboard mini games. I won't settle for anything less. |
I hope they kept some of the more comedic elements in, lol.

Rufus Shinra and Dark Nation boss battle is going to be my pinnacle of Video Game Greatness

I can definitely see a lot of the extraneous mini games going like sneaking out of Aeris' house or giving the kiss of life to Priscilla or the snow stuff. They definitely won't get rid of Chocobo racing or the bike although I can see them parting with the snowboard game, at least in the story, I imagine it could still appear in the Gold Saucer. |
One of the things I do hope they change are some characters' limit breaks. They should change Yuffie and Red's Level 4 to something actually useful and I think you should be able to control Vincent's beast forms.
When it comes to the Story I'd like Jenova to be highlighted more since she plays a massive role in the story but at the same time it's very vague. I also want Zack to have a bigger role, perhaps he can appear in flashbacks earlier on. Crisis Core really built him up as a compelling character and I'd like to see that reflected here. |
I kind of like how mysterous Zack was and how he was hardly mentioned in the story until much later on when the real version of events come to light, i think Aerith was the only person who hinted he existed and his mum and dad in Gongaga just after the Gold Saucer
|
I hope they keep Cloud's personality true to VII, and don't make him like he was in Advent Children.

I love that they have Nomura directing, makes so much sense about him leaving XV now.
|
Hmm... This might be the thing to make me get a PS4. And a new TV, since the old one has been broken for many years.
|
Nomura has confirmed the wacky elements will remain :D

The kiss of life scene as a minigame has to go, I don't know if it's just me, but every time I play through the game - and I've done it about 15 times, the last time just a few months ago on Vita - it takes me forever to get it to work?? "ssssp, ssssp, ssssp, ssssp, ssssp.... Psssshhhhh". And repeat, FOREVER. Sneaking out of Aeris' house is also a pain until you memorise the right path :joker:. Oh and another thought... Whoever voice acts Barrett fo damn sho better nail the "MAAARRRRLLLEEEEEE----EEEENE!!!" scene. Foo'. Nothing less than an emotionally charged and slightly racially stereotypical bellow will do. |
What's great is, the original writer, Nojima is writing, so IMO, he can make adjustments without ruining it.

One thing that is concerning me though... FFXV (as Versus) was announced at E3 nine effing years ago and is only just taking shape as a finished product. I have a horrible feeling that the FF7 remake might end up not materialising until the end of the PS4's lifecycle as a "swan song", or even an early PS5 title D:.
