Is Marc losing his appeal?

I did like him before, because he was fun even if over the top at times. But since he came back from the Bunker he has been so bitter. And he's picking on Cristian, because he's the only one who hasn't fawn all over him. He calls him out on his behaviour and of course his ego can't take it.

..this I think is the 'Helen Effect' as well, well not just Helen but having the ex housemates in the bunker with him and stirring everything he heard up, which was the purpose etc....I think once they've all gone and the actual housemates are left of their own then Marc and Christian will hug it all out...I think maybe also a little of a 'battle for alpha'...with Christian vying for the position since he thought Marc had gone and Marc coming back and saying not on my watch you don't Christian....

Another reason that Marc is picking on Cristian is that he likes him. He can't stay away from him.

He went from funny to cruel to angry, dread to think whats next.

..yeah that's true as well Vanessa...hmmm I still don't really like Marc because of some things he's done/said but I do dislike him less since he went into the bunker and now he's come out because he's shown more of a balance to himself...I don't believe that anyone in that unnatural environment of not having their support network around them could really isolate their emotions into his ...none of you will be my friends/this is all a game type way of thinking...everyone I think would make some bonds and friendships/have loyalties etc...it's all a reaction from Marc atm of feeling hurt so let's put down Christian's 'manhood' by calling him a little man etc or whatever he's said....but I think once the exes have gone and the house settles again they'll hug it all out and be fine and maybe it'll make Christian up his game a bit and become more active in the 'fun' and larking around bit..?..

Helen is a very bad influence on Marc. Hopefully after she goes we will get fun Marc back.

He was funny at the beginning of the show but I think he turned cruel quick as I believe he went out of his way to upset and irritate people from day 5ish until he got in the bunker. Although, tbf, he was relatively calm inside the bunker, yesterday he was just angry and shouting down at people in pretty much every scene he was featured in

The funny - cruel - angry was an 18 day process!

I don't like this bitter Marc. he's spiteful and horrible.

I know, he's coming across the exact same way as he did on his VT.. a prize idiot with an ego and an attitude, I don't know where the funny side originally came from but I haven't seen it in a long while, can't see it coming back anytime soon either.

Not sure but all this talking over each other is annoying.

Not just Marc but Helen won't shut her trap for 1 sec either.
Danny told her to "Ssshhh FFS !".

OK he was wrong but I feel his pain.

I'm hoping it will come back after Helen leaves.

I love Danny and Cristian for standing their ground. Why should they worship the legends? Give them hell! :joker:

..yeah I think it was funny at first, I loved the..'this is my house now..' thing and after losing some big characters in the 4in/4out thing, he looked as though he was going to be great fun which would compensate...the 'cruel/harsh' thing I think came straight away though in the things he said to Chloe...the thing for me though was when the Sam/Marc thing started and what he said to her about being turned on to make her cry..they weren't intimate with each other, they barely knew each other so that in no way could have been interpreted as anything other quite odd and him feeling the need to have a sense of dominance...I mean, I doubt many females in that situation/having that said to them from someone they barely knew would feel comfortable with it....

...anyways, I'm not a fan or nowhere near being one with him but for me why I've liked the bunker thing is that we have seen more of the whole of his personality because the cheeky Irish chappy/what you see is what you get is definitely not what Marc is..yes it's a part of him...but he's shown that he does actually care a lot about what people think of him/is very tactical 'game' minded in how he was explaining the house dynamics and who would have to go etc and is a little 'Helen like' in that he sees people as either a friend or a foe....you're either with him/pledge undying loyalty or you're against him because you've dared question or criticise him...

Amy Jade 16-06-2015 06:34 AM

Marc has been vile from the start he was never fun when he was making grown women cry with his nasty comments and thinly veiled sexism calling all the girls cum buckets, prostitutes, smelly pigs and knackers.

I don't get how he's only just being called out on his behaviour when it's finally a male housemate he has it in for because he's been treating Harry and Chloe horribly for weeks.
