They should have been told not to dance on them

Niamh. 16-06-2015 01:12 PM

Very sad, looks like a few of the injured could die also

Livia 16-06-2015 02:30 PM

They'd probably had a few drinks... drink in sense out. Horrible thing to happen though.

I read that there was apparently 14 people on the balcony :( Horrible

poor kids :(

I read that the neighbors had been calling the police about them being drunk hooligans before in the night. sounds like they were morons. The size of the balcony in the pictures, how the **** is anyone stupid enough to think it's okay to have 14 people on it? The balcony looks like it was made to have a few potted plants on it, not 14 drunk college kids.

Niamh. 18-06-2015 08:58 AM

Looks like the balcony wasn't up to health and safety standard. It was made of wood for Christ sake. Americans cutting corners again.

Because they're a bunch of college students having a party, if the balcony was dangerous it should have been closed off not put a few chairs out there and hope no one moves them :/

[The structure was not designed for practical use it emerges, as investigators examine rotten beams as a cause for the collapse.]
