FKA Twigs 'Tipped' To Replace Rita Ora
 

The Voice UK bosses are said to be considering FKA twigs to join the new look line up of coaches.


With Rita Ora having quit the show is in need for another new judge for the third time in three years.

Paloma Faith has been rumoured already as well as a possible return for former coach Kylie.

Now the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper reports that FKA twigs is in the running too.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter – real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett – is a relative newcomer to the charts having only released her debut album last year which reached Number 16 here in the UK.


In the past year she’s notched up nominations at the BRITs, NMEs and Grammys with The Voice producers hoping she would make a “credible” addition to the panel.

“Rita may have brought glamour to The Voice but she wasn’t too clued up on musical knowledge,” a rather shady source said at the weekend. “She didn’t know who The Monkees were.

“FKA twigs is beautiful and credible.”

No announcement has yet been made about The Voice 2016 panel, who will begin filming for the new series in the autumn.

Current coaches Ricky Wilson, Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones however have all said they hope to be back for what will be the fifth series of the BBC contest.

I vaguely recognize the name because of some Robert Pattinson thing a while back when people were apparently threatening her because she was shagging him. Apart from that :shrug:

I wouldn't want Kylie back, I mean she's a nice person and all that but I didn't think she was very good as a judge and her personality wasn't very strong I thought

Ohhh I remember her now, I had never heard of her before that and I didn't remember her this time lol She had a great voice actually, don't know what her personality is like though. I have seen Paloma Faith on panel shows though and I like her plus she has a great voice

Yeah it'd be a really left of field decision by the BBC to go with her tbf, even I've never heard her interviewed or seen her speak, but she'd at least interest me musically (which I can't terribly say for Paloma - she's gotten worse with each album and just thrives off of the UK's love of an occasional retro song.)

I dont think the BBC should be giving anyone a job unless they have a proper name like Barry or Janet :nono:
