Riiiiight. So he disagrees with her when she goes too far, and hes wrong. Should he have agreed with her? Would he have done right by doing that?

I didn't think so

I think the thread was made at the time that they were sat on the sofa and Danny was telling him he was up Helens arse and Marc was disagreeing and pretending their friendship wasn't much of anything.

He was trying to distance himself whilst away from her side.. but for some reason, he stuck by her enough when he shouldn't have and she was being a cruel dickhead to Brian and Nikki, weird.

The OP didn't say Marc is wrong for distancing him self from Helen, the OP said he's vile, he's been sucking up to Helen for a week, and now that he's realized Helen is too much even for him, he's distancing himself - the level of how wrong Marc is doesn't fluctuate just because OP is observing his behavior.

Marc is very aware of this years BB game, he's had the most knowledge of the outside world, the bunker legends, ex-hms Victor and Rachel letting him know he's coming across poorly on his return, going to DR daily to be the "narrater", watching the VTs etc.

He knows thst he's a strong contender and has realised that being conjoined to the hip with Helena is killing his chances to win so he's distancing himself, being seen to criticise Helen's rapist comments despite smirking. He's not annoyed with her comments because it's vile - he found them funny and would love to egg her on - he'she's annoyed as he's realising she is a huge liability.

He's definitely trying to distance himself, and i don't blame him after her vile comments, just a shame it took him this long to realize he sided up with the wrong housemate!
