rionablue 25-06-2015 12:23 AM

Legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BB4fan 25-06-2015 12:27 AM

He sat there just like the others who didn't get involved.

If Helen pisses on the living room floor is it up to him to get up and do something about it...???

BENDERBOY 25-06-2015 12:30 AM

I was one of his biggest supporters, mainly because i wanted to do him.

Sadly he's gone over to the darkside and ruined his chances of winning.

just thinkin 25-06-2015 07:57 AM

sitting in between the two of them....he'd need to cop on.

rusticgal 25-06-2015 09:06 AM

Joel..the Lapdog.

Liam- 25-06-2015 09:07 AM

So once again someone is being chastised for not getting involved with someone else's argument, brilliant and totally fair, well done.

He would probably lap it up!

Kazanne 25-06-2015 09:11 AM

So now Joel is getting hate because of who he is friends with , how childish

oh, he'll get involved alright, when it's nothing to do with the two bulldogs. he won't say anything against those two bullies - in fact the smug face on him told a story.

So what do you think of Chloe not getting involved?

rusticgal 25-06-2015 09:29 AM

Joel stood up to Marc when he had the whole house behind him, when he first came in and upset Chloe.... Suddenly he has gone quiet. Not the 'voice of reason'' anymore. Mind you when Helen goes he might just have a voice again. However he has tainted himself now...damaged goods. :joker:

What do I think of Chloe not getting involved?.. nothing, if she didn't want to get involved then that's her decision, I don't see why people should be criticised for not wanting to involve themselves in what was a nasty argument.

He's getting hate because having been a very arrogant pipsqueak...and the voice of reason. He isn't very big when it comes to Helen. Maybe he should be telling Helen the same things he told Marc ,when Marc first entered the house. Maybe he should tell Helen that she should think about what she says..and then give her one of his lectures in 'mock interview' format about how it might be perceived on the outside.
But he won't because when push comes to shove...he is a coward and a weasel. He is intimidated by Helen and he no longer has the backing of the other housemates because he has turned his back on them.

You couldn't make it up could you Kazanne.
I have friends who really hate some of my other friends,I would hope no one ever judges me in that I keep company with both sets because I actually get on with both sets of people and none have ever done anything against me.

It is ridiculous,Joel gets on with just about everyone in there, really pathetic to go against him because he likes people others don't
If that is their genuine only reason not to like him then that is really sad.

He is no ones lapdog, he does his own thing, does not get involved where it is not necessary too.
He will talk to and spend time with all housemates and there must be some he would love to shove out the door.

He is polite, reasoned and never aggressive or personally insulting.
Privileged he may be but he has clearly been given good examples of how to behave in public.

Also, I hate his political position, however as like myself with you and you hold the same politics as Joel, holding that against him as a reason to not like him is pathetic I have to say.
I consider myself a decent person, I know you are a really decent person Kazanne and quite frankly, from all I have seen this series of him,so is he.

He is slammed for not arguing and raising his voice and seeming to condone bad behaviour.
By the same token, if he was arguing, raising his voice and acting out bad behaviour, that then would be just the other reason to get at him and then hate him for that.
If he personally insulted Helen and called her all the names under the sun, he would be applauded, were he to do that to Brian or say Danny/Cristian,he again would be the really rotten guy.
Just because he doesn't bend to the will of others and only does what he believes is right and decent are very sad reasons to put him down.

Sometimes, some people for many, can never do right for just in truth and fact not doing anything wrong at all,but just for being decent and being themselves.
As I say, you couldn't make it up.

HBB1508 25-06-2015 10:08 AM

He's just following Mummy's orders - she directed him to stick with Mark by plonking that fake kiss on Mark's cheek and he is just doing what he is told!!! In my opinion of course!!

Good for him then, I love to follow my Mothers orders when I can too, that shows respect.

Also why shouldn't he be getting on with Marc, Marc has not done a thing against him,why should anyone be against someone who hasn't treated them badly or worked against them in any way as a housemate.

That is also decency and more respect too, equally in my opinion.
I'd rather see that than him getting at someone who has not done single bad thing as to him in the house.

How anyone can say he now doesn't mix with the others is wrong too, we only see now the past hms on the highlights and Danny was talking to Helen more than anyone else on last nights.
Advising her,or trying to but still there with her.
As he was with Marc too.

Selective criticism only works when it is really accurate,in my opinion again.

no, he doesn't get on with everyone in there. If you watched the show the originals has a little bit of a problem with him because of him sticking like glue to the 'powerful' crowd and dumping on the other housemates. That's not getting on with everybody - that's stepping on people to get where he wants to be. He's all principled when it comes to telling the 'lower' housemates what he thinks, but yet is a lapdog to the 'powerful' housemates he's their little go-for boy. yes, definitely a slimy politician in the making.

If you read over my post I said he gets on with 'just about everyone' ,'not everyone',in there, if there ever was a housemate in the history of BB that has got on with all the housemates they were in with, I must have missed something.
Can you name any.

I disagree with your statements above anyway, I see it all differently but I am not looking to put him or others down for petty reasons.

Joey,I've seen more nastiness in here than I did from Helen last year and this combined,I like that Joel has his own personality and wont be told who to be friends with, that shows he has strength of character.

I agree and Chloe did say she didn't like the comments Helen made but also the fact that Helen has not done or said anything bad to her.
Now Marc gets at Chloe a lot,Chloe does not like Marc and shows it a lot. However, clearly Helen, who with Marc is supposed to be the 'evil' team, has got on with Chloe despite the Chloe/Marc tensions.

Another nonsense as to an 'evil team' just about blown out of the water then.

:joker: Stop making her out to be this intimidating matriarch ,she isn't she's just loud and harsh, you give her far too much credit, not that I mind,I like her.

Exactly Kazanne that is his right, I do that myself.

It neither means I like one group more or like another group less.
Danny and Marc are again regularly laughing and joking in the highlights,is Danny floating from group to group or is that okay as it is Danny.

In my view, strength of character is exactly what Joel is showing and he is only 19, he is the more mature of the lot of them in there just about, in my opinion.

yes, let's disagree then on the smarmy plank. :wavy:

Strength of character would be to stand up for something that is wrong instead of sitting there gloating. Still, mummy did point out that marc was his minder basically so he must do as mummy says.. I'm sure mummy is kicking herself now.
