Simon is one of the only remaining housemates who I kinda like.
I don't mind his friendship with Helen and Marc, obviously he is going to like them when they re-entered the house and were being some of the only people who were nice to him and said they liked him. Think it's only natural that he gravitated towards them when he was in that situation.
He doesn't seem to really join in with much bitching. He's very quiet and lets everybody keep talking away to him about whatever they're thinking but says very little actual bitchy stuff himself.
When Marc wanted him to give certain 'clique' reasons for his nomination and told him to not say "but I like you/want to be friends" or to be in anyways nice with his nomination, he didn't really listen. He chose Jack for a reason personal to him and said he did like him and wanted to still get along.
When Aisleyne came in and he had to clarify some disagreement the pair of them had, when relaying what happened to Helen and others in the smoking area and why Aisleyne was unsure of him, Helen said that Aisleyne was targeting people who were her friends, he said something like "I told her I have no problem with her and like her, just like I get along with and like Nikki too" (even though imo Nikki is very mean towards him), but anyways my point is he didn't seem to be taking any sides and seemed very open about the fact that just because he was friendly with Helen didn't mean he would have a problem with people she didn't get on with. (I don't think Helen wants or expects him to either)
I've heard him saying he likes Danny too before and that Danny lets him speak or listens to him and that he likes him, so I think he likes any housemate who gives him a chance.
He messed up a few times in the beginning but does seem to be trying to be less bitchy and to not upset people.
I'm not saying he is some great and lovely guy. I think he probably can be a bit false at times and he also often seems very self obsessed and 'woe is me' or 'poor Simon', but this manifests itself into very amusing displays from him (imo). When Helen called him out about his fake tears and he didn't even deny it was just like "mmm yes, I agree" I laughed my ass off. He has been a bit 2 faced in the early days and often gets very theatrical when he is upset but it's hardly crime of the century and I don't think he's a particularly nasty person.
Lately he just seems completely lost, and so completely subdued and unable to express his louder side. The show is completely focussed on the ex housemates and he almost seems like he is sedated and just along for the ride. I do like when we get to see more of his fun side though, like when he was on the date with Christian or when he got to dress up in that yellow canary party outfit or when he was Nikki's backing dancer in the dressing gown doing actions for the Nick's swan song. I think it was Helen asked him "why are you wearing a white dressing gown?", and he was like "umm, because that's what he wears I'm supposed to be a swan"(like duh! :D)
I know he has been a bit 2 faced before but a lot of housemates can be 2 faced. I don't think he's the worst one there and I like him most of the time.
