Awful

jackc1806 26-06-2015 01:10 PM

I went there in 2013, and was caught up in a minor attack- but only the suicide bomber was killed and there were no injuries. This is a lot worse however, I wouldn't be surprised if there were British casualties. Absolutely awful, RIP to those at least 27 dead.

jackc1806 26-06-2015 01:11 PM

@DailyMirror: Local radio in #Tunisia saying deaths are "mostly German and British." http://t.co/fFWjXluWWW http://t.co/t95HfiM0pi

On Bloke on BBC NEWSHD, via phone
just said he had done 2 days of a
10 day family holiday
so did not want to leave
hoping thats the only attack
near his Hotel.

arista 26-06-2015 03:09 PM

From Radio 5
a Irish Mother and her 2 boys
were also next door to that hotel.
She managed to get her 2 sons out of
the water and slowly to the other safe Hotel.
She phoned her Tour Company in Dublin
but they can not get a flight out tonight
will try tomorrow,
her sons aged 11 and 13 want to go home.

Its sad for all those Hotels
as they may go empty now.

ive actually seen some people saying that this doesnt matter, because at least gay marriage is legal...

i am disgusted. i couldn't give a **** about that when there is this going on. I wonder how many of our own people have been killed. Imagine going away on holiday and something like this happening.... fking horrific.

Crimson Dynamo 26-06-2015 03:45 PM

it beggars belief why any parent would risk Tunisia

are they so desperate to sit in the sun

I don't get why you're going on about gay people?? I can't read the link so if it's something to do with that then just ignore this.

Northern Monkey 26-06-2015 03:52 PM

Best to stay away from North Africa atm tbh.I would'nt go to Egypt again now.

im going on about it because like 10 seconds before this post, I saw some idiot on fb saying that 'at least gay marriage is legal' and I literally facepalmed. i've seen things like 'good timing' for the gay marriage being legalized and it bothers me so much. Yes, I'd love to marry a girl more than anything, but I think that stuff like this happening to innocent people is so much more important. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted my thoughts so soon, but I have a quick temper and when something is on my mind, I say/type it or whatever.

Some people are acting like this isn't a big deal, because at least gay marriage is legal in America. And that ****ing infuriates me

Iceman 26-06-2015 04:09 PM

Ah right I understand now it's just there was no context to why it was mentioned. I thought you were just going on a bit of a rant. I understand now.

Latest : 5 British Confirmed shot dead

But that Irish parent
speaking on radio 5 said her 13 year old son
loves doing the beach buggy ride/race
a chance for all to relax.

One gunman
was already in the hotel in shorts
his big machine gun hidden
under a sun protector dip.

I can't believe the front pages are that graphic. I understand they want to show what happened but I think that's a bit too far for me.

...yeah, once again the thirst for headline/sensation coming before and beyond any sensitivity or thought for loved ones whose world has just become broken...I can't imagine the pain they're all going through, this is just so awful...

Liam- 27-06-2015 10:09 AM

My cousin is is out there staying in the hotel right next to the one where this happened, she was on that very beach earlier in the day before the shootings started.

It's tragic that this happened and so many lost their lives and having someone so close to where it's happening is terrifying, my heart honestly goes out to these people's friends and families, it's so awful.
