"i like boys..I'm Gay"

My marc thread for the day..

two things he did to make me laugh..his dance to the birdie song and his comment to Asslenye..I like boys ..I'm gay.

He also came across genuine and nice again..politely apologizing tp Asslenye for upsetting her when in my opinion he did nothing wrong..then comforting her..raising her self esteem over her Danny upset.

On the other hand..while we see him showing he has no hard feeling saying Me and danny had a blow up last night guarantee we will be back on today" ... we see danny getting up and wondering off pissed or annoyed that Marc is is having a pleasant chat with Ash and bitching about Marc behind his back.

I confess..often i find myself watching BB booing the nasty character and looking forward to there evictions. It is rare that i find a character i Actually truly like..It is a pleasant change for me to watch rooting for Marc to win as opposed to rooting for someone to lose

Thank you for that

Liam- 29-06-2015 11:36 AM

Marc showing he's not the big bad monster people think he is, what a hero :clap1:

Tarryn 29-06-2015 11:43 AM

I just never know when he is being genuine

Gusto Brunt 29-06-2015 11:44 AM

Would have been really controversial if he had said 'I hate gays, I'm straight!'.

Pete. 29-06-2015 11:45 AM

The point being, why did he have to use the words 'like' and 'gay'.

Nancy. 29-06-2015 12:21 PM

He's the only one in there that I want to win now. He's great

BENDERBOY 29-06-2015 12:22 PM

All an act, Helen pulled the same stunt last year, dick up to the last two weeks then the poor victim, i've grown so much nonsense.

Same here. Loved how he exposed Danny the Coward.

It makes me puke to think Danny the Coward could win. He's vile.

He said 'I'm gay' and 'I like boys' .. I don't quite get the issue you have with that

Nice strawman there.

Firstly he didn't say I hate straights, I'm gay. He used two positive terms. Secondly Marc is very clearly a supporter of gay rights. He was close friends with Simon which he wouldn't have been if he hated gays. He also posted publicly in support of the marriage equality referendum. Plus as an educated guy from dublin in his age bracket it'd be incredibly unlikely that he would dislike gay people.

All he did was lightheartedly spurn a joking advance by pretending to be sexually incompatible. Guess what, if we're going to move to a society where all sexual orientations are normalised then talking about them needs to be ok. He said nothing negative. He didn't say he hated a group. Of course if he honestly said he hated gays there'd be uproar because that's homophobia. He doesn't, and didn't say it.

I agree. He uses charm and so called 'banter' to disarm and confuse people. He puts on this veneer of 'I'm just having a laugh' to say unacceptable things and it's the other persons fault for not 'getting him', but he's certainly not homophobic.

He's too full - on and overbearing for my liking. The way he invades peoples personal space, the way he was relentlessly interrogating Ash as if she was on trial, the way he questions people (like Nick about wanting to win) and then making out their answer is a lie. He's done that quite a lot. I thought he was pretty harmless at first but whoever said he is passive aggressive hit the nail on the head. He is classic passive aggressive. He is showing a darker side since coming out of the bunker - and I'm not saying that because of his friendship with Helen, as I've liked Joel a lot since the start and still do.
I don't 'hate' him, he's just not my cup of tea at all.

joeysteele 29-06-2015 01:09 PM

I like Marc,he always brings something to the highlights programmes and I would be happy if he won this series.
Even if he doesn't one thing is for sure, this has certainly been his series, for me anyway.

Vanessa 29-06-2015 01:09 PM

I assumed he was joking, but with Marc you never know.

you are trying say "i like boys" is the opposite of "i hate gays"

isn't that a bit like claiming "i like being british" is the opposite of saying "i hate Americans"?

and wouldn't it then be offensive to the whole would to be proud to be British?

or..are you just so homophobic and offended by the words like and gay being used near one another?
