Mass Hysteria at work to jusify the hatred of Marc and Helen.
 

I think all this unfounded sympathy for Brian and Nikki as opposed to hostility to Marc and Helen is down to a form of Mass Hysteria. Mass Hysteria is often used by despicable politicians to justify their loathing of a certain group or individual. As a Gay Man this is at work even tody in places like Uganda and Nigeria to justify anti LGBT Laws. Now I know this isn't quite the same thing in the case of BB but to understand how it works and the tactics used the Gay thing is only an analogy and nothing more. We are getting a continual, drip drip drip of poison from BBOTS and it's totally biased audience and panel night after night against Marc and latterly Helen. None of their accusations have any foundation in fact or evidence. They choose only to show negative things about Marc now to justify their irrational liking of Brian and Nikki? The public and audience along with may of the HMs react as a herd, not wishing to be the odd one out, agreeing and lapping up everything that's fed to them without thinking for themselves. So the words sheep actually resonates with me.

But the clear attempt at Mass Hysteria by BB is important especially when directed at one human being. You may not like what I say but it is clearly what's going on and many are simply blinded by the truth and worse still cannot provide one shred of evidence to back up their constant accusations against Marc vis a vis his arguments with Brian.

Its merely collective behaviour and you need to understand a little sociology to even venture down this route with a ridiculous comparisons.

The clip was online 2 weeks before Helen tried to use the incident to whip up hatred against Brian and to try and justify her own disgusting behaviour towards him.

Sadly for her the clip showed her encouraging Brian to do the frozen duck again.

Errm. I do actually have a degree in sociology and got a 2:1 so I know exactly what I am saying and still stand by the Mass Hysteria theory it's the only thing that can explain the irrational hatred of Marc now.

I think it's because the whole Marc thing is very divisive and even on BOTS last night it was constantly raised time and again. For me it's that I dislike an individual being singled out and bullied. For me I feel passionately about the scenario and perhaps do use emotive language but frankly my blood is boiling over the issue. Time to head off and chill out at my caravan I think.

All the mass hysteria described in support of Brian and Helen can be applied to Nikki and Marc.

Everything your saying could be said about both Marc/Helen and Nikki/Brian.

Fanbases are obviously going to stay loyal no matter what happens so there's not point going around trying to change everyone's mind by going "here look what Danny said on twitter, do you hate him now?" "Oh look at what Marc has done, he's fooled you all"

Oh and I have no idea what Godwin's law is, somebody inform me. :D
