What Jasmine said about Cristian on BOTS is why this show needs the live feed
 

And if they can't do the live feed for whatever reason, they need a different approach to how they edit the HL shows. We want to get to know the housemates. We don't want to see them humiliated and prodded away at until they argue. All of that, and all of the twists and stunts don't mean a thing if we don't care about any of them. We can only care if you start showing us things like what Jasmine revealed about Cristian.

I wish the producers would wake up to this fact instead of relying on overbearing personalities and contrived drama.

She said she went in thinking he was boring, told them that there is so much they don't see and spoke about his deafness and being bullied in school. It's about as much of an insight into his character as we've had in 9 weeks.

This is the sort of thing we should know about a housemate within the first week. Not in week 9.

He had every chance to reveal these things about himself over those 9 weeks. On the HL show, we heard Jasmine say she'd use all her 'influence' to promote his cause and that's just what she did.

I agree about the staged stuff being contrived, though.

He has... Hence the reason Jasmine found out about it. The idiot producers choose to not show this stuff and go ahead instead with pointless twists and desperate stunts which don't mean anything to any of us because we haven't got to know them and therefore don't care about them.


So what? The point is she found out things about him in the house and we weren't shown any of these conversations.

I like Christian.

Ofcourse she would say that. She would've done unspeakable things to him.

Christian was my early favourite but he's just a fame hungry little twit.

I take your point, Beetlejuice, and I'd hate to have to rely on someone like Cougar Jasmine as my spokesperson, but Cristian is, nevertheless, a bit of a knob and I don't think we can blame his troubled past entirely for that.

Oh FFS... The point I am trying to make is not about Cristian, it is about the way this show is approached by the producers. I would like to know these things about Cristian and the others. Instead I'm subjected pointless twists and desperate stunts and contrived drama. None of which I care about because I couldn't care less about any of them. The reason being that I don't feel like I know them at all.

That's why the live coverage is so important. And it is also why their (the producers) approach to the show and how they edit it is so offputting.

It was wonderful the way she spoke up for Cristian, his deafness and what he has had to go through because of it. Tremendous respect to her. She was genuinely close to tears talking about his struggle and bullying etc. Just a shame that instead of cutting him some slack and understanding that he can't pick up on group conversations etc that they(the producers)belittle him by calling him boring etc. Shame on them really.

This is not a thread about Cristian. This is a thread about what the show is missing and the damage it is doing to the show by not being there.

Yep, show is about producers enduced drama and narratives in rows, bitching and showmance and not about getting to know hms.
