Doubting Joel

Joel has now nominated for the same reasons that everybody (Team Helen) moans about: that he feels the least close to Sam blah blah blah, as well as essentially done what he went mad about at the other house-mates: taking food selfishly to the detriment of the broader groups' aim (keeping the money).

He sat there doing nothing but moaning that everybody was working so hard and they were ruining it for themselves and then made out that he would not take the prize money over winning (the other thing Team Helen moans about the most).

I also don't really see the entertainment he brings to the house. I did enjoy the dancing and singing, but that was brief.

He just seems to want to use the show as some kind of launchpad (his constant interviewing), and I think because he's cute people seem to look past the fact that he is nearly always talking like a politician.

I can't stand the slimey little turd personally!:yuk:
I think he's been disingenuous pretty much all the way through his time in the house and i think it would be awful for someone who hasn't watched a minute of Big Brother in his life (by his own admission) to win it.
He's also been an awful 'friend' to everyone while in there. He totally dumped his original friends when Mark and Helen came back into the house and then once Helen left and he could see Mark's popularity struggling he flipped straight back to the other side. Such a disloyal little turncoat!

Like you say, the little bit of singing and dancing was amusing while it lasted but that's really all he's brought during the whole series.

At first I thought what a decent and diplomatic young man but then I started to question this as faced with the most innocent question you could see his brain computing every aspect before giving the response which would show him in the most favourable way.

The one time this dropped and we saw some real behaviour was when he though Jack had eaten the Bun.He threw the others at him from close quarters but this was not enough he then threw fruit from the other side of the room.He was a guest he had not been wearing the uniform in the heat or going without decent food.

I think he has over played his game and will not win because of this.

Joel is now my least favourite in the house. I think he has a brilliant mind for his age but its a mind that lacks empathy; he just doesn't appear to have much of a human side to him, just a well thought out pitch.

He takes everything far too seriously and I'm sure that's because (like someone else here said) he's using this as a platform for his future career. His voice is so monotone it drives me mad. I really hope he doesn't win but somehow I think he might.

Awaits the diagnosis of sociopath :D: but yes agree with all the above

Didn't he say the money meant nothing that he just wanted to win but he was first off the blocks to save the prize fund. Lying snivling little mummies boy.

A typical politician....says one thing but does another.

Anyone else to win apart from Joel...

just thinkin 05-07-2015 09:58 AM

Hes horrible. .slimy

I actually don't get this ,not being as close to others, as not a valid reason to nominate.

Early in a series it makes less sense because you haven't had time to really get around and spend quality time with all the housemates.
At this stage however, after so may weeks, nearer the end of a series, well you will have forged closer links by then with some and not so others.

So when in a situation where you maybe have few complaints as to anyone really in the main, with so few left to choose from, one the best ways to decide, for me, would be who am I closest to in the house and who am I less so.

For me it makes at this stage in the series, a perfectly valid reason to nominate, from any housemate as to any other housemate.

Wouldn't surprise me. She is everywhere championing his cause.

DemolitionRed 05-07-2015 05:10 PM

Wasn't she the one who put him forward to join the BB house?

I used to like him, but lately he's acting like a bit of a tool.

Not a patch on Doubting Thomas.

Don't doubt robots. They're very reliable.

DSFaus 06-07-2015 07:21 AM

WTF. Announcing to the group that he only ran to press the button in order to stop the money running down (not for personal immunity of course), then a few hours later (of his own accord) offering thousands of dollars for a single pizza he doesn't want to share.

He spent the whole last week of eps whinging about other people being selfish.
