Anyone else lost passion for the series

I don't know how many of you would remember my posts but basically this is my first time watching big brother in years. When it began I got so into it I went back and watched the last CBB season to sort of catch up.

I thought there were some great housemates this season. For me (and feel free to disagree) Marc, Sarah, Harry, Jade and Joel added a lot. There were also controversial characters whom I didn't like personally but added a lot like Harriett and the twins.

Now with the fab four still in and most interesting housemates long out the run up to the final feels more like a run down. Perhaps I'm remembering wrong but in previous years I thought the final was where it was most exciting as we crossed our fingers for our favourite to win but it seems most people's favourites are gone at this point and we're getting a winner by default.

I mean, I'll keep watching and all that to see it though but it just feels a little deflated and I was wondering how other posters felt.

TL : DR I miss Marc

It all went wrong when they did the 4 in 4 out crap... Marc should have been in from day 1 mind you over a bore like Danny. But the twist they did backfired and we lost 3 of the better HMs and kept all the crap... Since then they have been attempting damage limitation by messing with the formula, fixing the vote and injecting old HMs in there to rescue a dead series.

Lostie! 07-07-2015 11:53 PM

Absolutely, I'm merely sticking with it because I've come so far.

reece(: 07-07-2015 11:54 PM

The passion was lost weeks ago.

abhorson 07-07-2015 11:55 PM

Yep. All i care about now is Harry, Chloe or Danny not winning.

The only reason I wouldn't take 4in4out is because it gave us Marc who made the series for me. Since he just finished his exams I wouldn't be surprised if there was some behind the scenes jiggery to have gotten him in once he'd finished the exams but sure I couldn't do more than speculate about that. Also I'm not sure how PhDs work but the friends I have who are finishing their PhDs seem to be just finishing up their papers and getting ready to hand in and be viva'd rather than actually sitting a test and it seems like there is a degree of flexibility with the dates so maybe he could have done it from the start.

But yeah there were so many "Twists that Rocked the House" this year that the finale is left with nothing but rubble.

BENDERBOY 07-07-2015 11:57 PM

Marc was just about bareable, the minute Helen turned up i just wanted to switch off, i'm only sticking round now in the hope that Jack will win.

I find the show more tolerable since i cut down on reading and replying to all the childish and bitter utter bollocks on this forum. The amount of multi accounts, banned members and people solely here to cause trouble on here this year is ridiculous.

C5 have their target audience and to be honest they asked for it and now they have to face the nastiness and negativity that comes with those type of people so they only have themselves to blame.
I feel for Emma being harassed by scum and trash on twitter but thats what happens when C5 target that type of audience so its hardly suprising.

I lost most of the passion for this show when it became clear where C5 were going with it. Just read the titles of the threads on this forum and you can see how negative it has got on here. :bored:

RichardG 08-07-2015 10:42 AM

I couldn't care less who wins, this series sucks so much. I'll be glad when it's finally over.

VanessaFeltz. 08-07-2015 10:43 AM

I pretty much agree with everything in your post.

rubymoo 08-07-2015 11:09 AM

I'm enjoying it more now that Marc has gone, the HM's personalities are coming out now and there's plenty of action, we're getting to see the tasks, natural arguments, alliances changing, those who initially were over shadowed are getting airtime, i think it's gotten a lot better since the legends and Marc left.

Im definitely not as interested in it since Jade was evicted. She was a strong housemate and should be in there final week instead of drips like Danny and Cristian in particular. Cristian was responsible for Jades eviction with the massive row he had with her when he confronted her about so called bed hopping and being a game player all because she and Brian hit it off. He has since sat back and did **** all. I was gutted we lost a good housemate because people love Cristian and believed everything. I still watch the hightlights shows and some BBBOTS and check in on the forums but if Jade Eileen and even Adjoa were in for final week it would be great

EspeonBB 08-07-2015 11:16 AM

Yeah I stopped watching when Jade left and only started watching for a while when Aisleyne came back. This series has been dire

REDCROP 08-07-2015 11:41 AM

Lets just forget who was nice (YAWN)....and lets just forget who did nothing wrong....

Who were this years unusual house mates that were entertaining to watch and entertained us by shaking things up, love them or hate them

I think there were only 4

1.MARC ( this years winner already)
2.Jade
3.Joel
4.Harry

All the others were just so ordinary and predictable and cruised along trying to avoid confrontation for the whole time until the last week when they cud finally get their stealers on the cash.....HAS THAT ENTERTAINED YOU ? DOES THAT DESERVE TO BE A WINNER ?

Ive got to be honest i NOW don't care who wins, this year my reason for watching the final is to see who doesn't win...because i very much care about who fails....the hi point for me in the final will not be when they announce the winner, i couldn't care less... it will be when they announce that Chloe, Danny or Jack haven't won

All 3 of them have arrogantly expected to win from the get go....and nothing wrong with that if they actually played the game to achieve that...but they haven't...THEYVE CONNED BB AND THEYVE CONNED US.....
And all this back stabbing and shouting and shafting their bessie mates now is TOO LATE...WAY TOO LATE

Alf 08-07-2015 11:41 AM

Big Brother 4 was the death of Big Brother, it never regained conciousness after that.

Chloe is a this years Helen..only less intelligent (if thats possible) and less honest

Sam just stayed on the side that was winning by pretending to be everyones friend and actually doing nothing except stuff her face and says 'Love you babes' to everyone...Silly cow...hash tag loving cash
