Housemates "needing" the money
 

I cannot stand this argument.

If you need money, in that genuine sense of necessity, going on Big Brother is not something anyone would consider a smart move. So let's say they don't actually need it, and they're just saying it for effect, what does your current financial standings have to do with anything? Big Brother is a Gameshow, not a charity. Who wins should not have anything to do with what they will do with the prize.

I realise this argument will fall on some deaf ears, but I really think it's important to bare this in mind, because quite frankly, if you believe only the person who needs the money should win, you may as well skip watching the series, because the housemates personalities don't matter. To be honest, you may as well not vote in that case, because I guarantee your money isn't going to someone who needs it.
