It has come out that he wants to stay at Liverpool but only if they sack Rodgers

His manager threw him under the bus when negotiating a new deal and offered absolutely zero protection for a young player. His supporters turned on him pretty much immediately and were booing him whenever they could. Why the **** would he want to stay and go on tour, while being surrounded by a poisonous environment?
