Caitlyn Jenner has won worldwide praise for her bravery in going public with her transition from male to female (because she is famous and people love that. )

However, not everyone is impressed with the 65-year-old Olympian - previously known as Bruce Jenner - and Katie Hopkins has taken to Twitter to slam Caitlyn for focusing on 'dresses and photoshoots'.

Sharing a picture of Caitlyn from her latest shoot to promote the upcoming docuseries I Am Cait, Katie wrote: 'Caitlyn, get over yourself bird. Do something. Say something. Be something. Women are more than dresses & photoshoots.'

And I kind of low key agree with Katie, as great as Caitlyn looks, she should be using her position to at least try and do something

If Caitlyn really wants to 'make a change' and help people, she should really focus on actually trying to help people, rather than having her face plastered on as many magazines and tv networks as possible.

Well maybe Katie Hopkins should use her position of having 500k+ Twitter followers to 'do something' and not just regurgitate the same bile over and over again.

Caitlyn appearing on the cover of one magazine alone has helped massively to bring transgender issues to the forefront. She hasn't had a personality transplant, so she doesn't have to suddenly become a charitable figure the minute she's finished her assignment. Let her live as a woman for a bit first - because doing that alone has opened the public's eyes to what being transgender is.

Agree with Hopkins - yes, well done and all that, but all this posing feels a bit pointless now. Say something, do something, be something.

The thing is she's in an awful position now where people are expecting her to suddenly be the leading trans rights activist when she's barely even had time to be Caitlyn.

What do people expect her to do just out of interest?

Being less vapid than her daughters and step-daughters would be a start. I mean it's probably all very overwhelming but it feels a little bit dress-up-in-nice-clothes and very little else.

Being transgender is daily glam shoots and chauffeur driven rides? :conf: Being a woman for that matter is about that aswell? :conf: What transgender issues has she brought to the forefront? I'm still none the wiser. All I know is that she looks better than Kris Jenner and her kids are calling her both dad and Cailtyn.

If we need someone to step up to this I would rather hear from someone that lives in the real world-that can't afford expensive surgery, that struggles to fit in, that deals with harassment. I want to hear the real dark side of this.

Eughh I half agree on a few points really.

Caitlyn has just transitioned, why should she be expected to be an ambasedor for transgenders and jump into fighting those who opose trans people.

I'm not going to lie though, been a little dissapointed in her basically becoming a clothes horse and not saying much.

I think people are massively overlooking how much she has done simply by going public with this transition. If that's all she ends up contributing, that's fantastic alone.
