I really get tired of reading all the hate for this series.
I consider myself to be a BB fanatic. I live in America and have been a huge fan of the show since its inception in the states. Little did I know that a far superior version of BB was happening just across the pond for years and years until I stumbled upon it on the internet a few years back. Since then I have watched every UK, CAN, and AU series. I have to say I appreciate the UK and AU series above the other two. With these series we're allowed access to their daily activity in the house and not some conniving, spliced 3 days a week like we get in the US and CAN. You can form a proper opinion on these people based on WHO they are rather than who they're ready to screw over to get to the final. I understand it's turned to that in the past few days for the UK series but the US and CAN version is cut throat right from the start, eliminating any sort of personality or heart right from the get go.
Has this been the best series of BBUK? Certainly not. At the end of the day it's still better than all the other international BB's, save the AU version which sounds like its headed for the ax, again. At least with UK and AU we're spending 7 hours a week with these housemates rather than 3.
As far as presenters go Emma, (I have to mention Davina because I think she IS BB), Sonia Kruger (AU) and Arissa Cox (CAN) all make our American presenter live up to her nickname of Chenbot. Every BB housemate who is evicted gets a warm hug, but here in America the house guest is hug blocked by a cheesy hand shake from the presenter. Like Oprah trying to avoid touching a mere mortal.
Tirade over. I just wanted to voice that someone outside the UK is watching and ENJOYING it.
Joel for the win!!!!
