Why is there never a washing machine in the BB house...???
 

I was curious as to why there is never a washing machine in the BB house...??? The Aussie BB had a laundry room, but what's the actual reason for there being no washing machine EVER in the UK series...???

I'm currently rewatching Big Brother 8 and it's going to annoy me now that I know it's there. :laugh:

There was a washing machine one year - hidden in the garden and the HM's never found it the whole series :joker::joker:
Other than that it was always the old mangle in the garden

I guess in case they electrocute themselves.

The last time that washing clothes was an issue was during Courtney's washing of her rabbit 2 years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if BB washes their clothes for them

They never made it clear as to why they don't have washing machines in there.

BB was originally a "back to basics" experience. There was no kettle, no toaster, no bread on the shopping list (they had to make it), just 1 hour of hot water a day, and no washing machine in early series. Whilst the HM's are now spoilt with luxuries, a washing machine hasn't become part of the house design.
