Joel and Chloe taking the brief case...joking/banter??

I felt a bit uncomfortable watching that tbh, Chloe really enjoys getting her digs in and Joel not acting much better. Jack didn't look like he was enjoying the 'banter' either. 'It's only a joke if everyone is laughing.'

It was just a joke, it's not their fault that everyone in there are miserable and sensitive.

I found it uncomfortable too. For me every time Chloe does something like this she makes herself look bad. She took 5k why does Jack's money bother her so much?

You can tell all with the exception of Nick are pig sick that Jack has the money, but at least Cristian doesn't join in with the baiting which is what it is, BB should have chained a case to Chloe as well with her money in it instead of concentrating on humiliating Jack

joeysteele 15-07-2015 10:12 AM

It was only a joke, everyone knew Jack could not be robbed of his prize money, they are still in the BB house for goodness sake.

However, Jack did look uncomfortable at times but BB ordered the case be handed back, a joke that maybe wasn't funny to everyone but hardly a crime of the century.

It was a joke. Last nights highlights show was boring for much of it so a bit of banter and tomfoolery was refreshing

Not my kind of joke when true feelings actually do show through

bots 15-07-2015 10:45 AM

Rule number one. Its only a joke if the person that is the butt of the joke also finds it funny. If not, then its taunting, making fun of, ridiculing - take your pick. Joel and Chloe were not joking

Today 15-07-2015 10:49 AM

I think the design is to make Jack lose out as a result of the case being outwith the 1 metre boundary set by bb. There is nothing Chloe would like more and Joel is exploiting the nasty streak in her to the same ends but also to obtain air time. That's at least twice now they have relieved him of the case.

That is a very good point about the case being within a certain distance from Jack BB could legitimately have taken the cash off him

Tarryn 15-07-2015 11:09 AM

I'm tired of Chloe. She makes out she is really laid back & having a laugh when really she is seething that Jack has that money.
IF she had not already taken the 5 grand I guarantee she would have pressed that button.
She seems like she really hates Jack for some reason.
Cristian is beginning to see her for what really is.
Sad thing is that the public are buying the "Girl next door" façade & she will probably win.

That is probably what Chloe was hoping, the nasty little moo.

Without seeming to stick up for Joel, I watched the clip and think on Joel's part it probably was just a joke from him, a joke that turned a bit sour, but nothing more than a joke all the same. However, I do believe going by Chloe's face it was more malicious/venomous in intent than a joke, I truely believe she is seething that how dare anyone else especially Jack meddle with what she sees as her money.

just thinkin 15-07-2015 11:29 AM

omg...it was a joke for goodness sake. However, if you want to see it as not a joke...then it was JOEL that suggested they take the case from him...once chloe knew jack was uncomfortable she walked back to her bed. the slimy joel however persisted in trying to get the case from jack, and succeeded. ran to his bed screaming like a banshee saying ' we did it chloe, we did it chloe' - chloe had long given up and wasn't even near jack at this stage. He had to again throw off the responsibility from himself onto chloe even tho it was him that took the case.
then when bb said to give it back...how cringeworthy he was in his effort to 'run away with it' and then hand it back submissively.

i think joel really really really wants the money...but is playing a game saying it doesn't matter to him. its not working.

Rob! 15-07-2015 11:30 AM

I don't think it's anything to criticise them about - it's not like they could go anywhere with it

Part of the conditions of Jack winning the cash is that he keeps it within a meter of himself at all times. Can you imagine if because of Joel and Chloe's actions Jack had lost that cash ?
I bet Chloe was secretly hoping that's what would happen! She's not a nice person.

Remind me who put the case in the freezer?

alex_front2 15-07-2015 12:46 PM

Joel and Chloe are different in motivation.

For Joel he blatantly has no issue with Jack winning the cash. The whole suitcase stealing was merely a ruse to gain airtime.

For Chloe she is quite clearly bitter that Jack won that money, the only reason why she didn't press the buzzer herself is because she believes it will go into HER winners prize fund and didn't want to look greedy with the £5000

Aye I see that
its like she really hates Jack n I feel sorry for him, he clearly loves her!

Its weird - I think She must consider him a threat to her winning to treat him the way she does, she is always negative about him/around him - and he just takes it as a laugh but it makes me uncomfortable.

I really dont like the girl - She is such a hypcorite/fake. She was right up Helens.... and Helen had no regard for her at all.

Pretty sure there is a mini video of it on the BB website.

Tarryn 15-07-2015 03:20 PM

Why does Jack have to carry his money around yet Chloe does not

I do agree with that, people often think because 'they' are joking or being humerous that it is fine because that is their perspective.

However as you say, if the person on the receiving end does not find things funny, then it ceases to be a joke and becomes more like abuse.

I said, Jack looked uncomfortable.
So to be fair and balancing things out, for Aaron with the Joel incident, Aaron was likely joking too but Joel felt really uncomfortable.
Being fair to all, he, Joel,(as much as I like him), should have recalled that incident and how he felt at that time.
