[Shouting at her teenage son to get up,
Selina Booth was in a
rush to leave the house.
Spying him slumped in bed she went
to wake him but realised something
was terribly wrong.
Weeping Selina tells
The Sun: “I thought he was messing
around as he was in a funny position.
Then I saw the cord around his neck.”
Her son, 14-year-old Jack Pickles,
had died of strangulation after
taking part in a lethal craze, known
as The Choking Game.
In the past five years, seven kids
have died after playing it in the UK.
One was just six years old.
Jack tied a cord around his neck,
believing the “game” — which
involves suffocating or strangling
yourself, or someone else, to get
a quick feeling of euphoria — was safe.]
