When you get an infraction or banned?
 

When you get that unwanted message saying that (YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN INFRACTION) should the mods name come along with that message sent to you? I think it should be sent as standard. So you then know who is stalking/targeting/reporting you etc. Same bad mood/hate towards you, same ban for nothing over and over again . It will help to remove those abusing the system as mods for sure In my opinion. Because for me being a moderator is a great thing, but moderators can also make mistakes and a minority of mods can abuse the system sadly in a very negative way. The God complex and all that stuff etc can come into play for those bad apples spoiling it for the rest of us on the forum and more importantly for the rest of the great and genuine mods on here.. What are your thoughts?

What I want to know is why sometimes you get a day, week or 2 weeks on an infraction ban.

Think about it ...IF the mods name came along with the infraction email sent to you, you would then know if you are being targeted or not etc. Knowing this would not only help the genuine moderators out in here but would also help remove those mods abusing that power on forum members.:wavey:

I don't really think it is necessary for the mod name to go with it tbh. I have been infracted/banned several times and it doesn't really matter to me who did it. I know the reason for it is because I broke the rules, and I don't care who has to actually issue the warning. Dean is one of my best friends on here and he has infracted me several times. He doesn't let the fact that we are friends interfere with his job as a moderator on the forum, nor would I expect him to.

I don't know about any mods who are taking advantage of their position. I can't say I have ever had that problem. I am friendly with most of the moderating team here tbh.

I agree. I have had bans I felt were unfair, but let it go. There are indeed mods who give bans or infractions just because you upset them.

I made a thread the other day which I posted my fanmade Nicky video in which I put loads of time and effort into making, and one of the mods just deleted it without warning or reason. Luckily I was able to ask another mod to reinstate it, but I do agree that some stuff needs to change IMO

I actually agree on wanting to know which mod gave you the infraction. Just out of curiosity mostly. I do think if a certain mod was 'abusing' their status though and targetting a certain user other mods would step in and sort it.

I honestly don't believe any mod here abuses their power though

This years BB was on for something like 66 days. During that time with me not watching the show since 4 in 4 out i posted just a hand full of times and got banned each time for simply stating what everyone was saying that the show was shyte.Go figure?:joker::joker::joker:

yeah and all the gif posts were deleted even though it was in chat and games..

Mods are human too, and capable of getting pissed off when someone is causing problems. I don't get worked up if they give me grief. I am usually asking for it.. lol

Each infraction gives you a certain amount of points, if you go over a certain threshold you'll get automatically banned by the system. Each successive threshhold comes with a longer ban.

Just thought I'd answer that before closing this thread. The reason why Infraction posts are anonymous is so that people like the OP, who are physically incapable of dealing with the fact that they are in the wrong when they are banned or infracted can't simply harass and blame the mods for doing their jobs.

Firstly, I was the one that put the thread back up and removed the gifs, they were spamming, 7 exact same gifs posted consecutively when there is clearly a warning announcement at the bottom of the forum about gif spam.

Secondly, the thread was in a BB section NOT c&g.

Just like I mentioned in another thread there, you say things that aren't true and other members actually believe it...
