If you were a producer, what would you change?
 

People keep having a go at the production team on c5 saying they need the sack. But I can imagine it's pretty hard. If YOU were a producer, what changes would you make to the show that you genuinely think would improve ratings and/or the critical reception of the show. & with CBB, who would you grt for the same reasons?

Stop overusing Marcus (get rid of his unneccesary contributions to the live shows) and have him reign his narration back.
Bring back live feed.
Let normal nominations go ahead each week.
Actually exercise crowd control with the mob outside or move the interview studio away from the outdoor crowd again.
Have less finalists (more than 4 isn't really necessary, and more than 5 certainly isn't).

I wouldn't change much.
I like BBUK better than US version. Love the unscripted diary room sessions with BB. Maybe in terms of twists they could make some changes but the format is pretty good.

Still have twists but make less of them about nominations because it's defating the purpose of the show. More like money twists or more impact secret missions.
Don't mke every task start with "we asked the public..." or "who do you think is the most..."" have classic fun ones
More weird and unique cast. Eileen was the weirdest this year and in BB standards she was very sane

- Bring back BB14 style live feed
- Take Marcus off the hyper pills
- Isolate the staircase
- Make the Diary Room less OTT
- Produce tasks that are BB6 good
- Stop the constant twist a day mentality
- Create clear transparent rules for the viewer and housemates + create a weekly schedule like we had in Channel 4
- Make normal nominations a thing
- Burn the eye to the ground and build a studio seperate from the crowd
- Actually cast good housemates
- Improve the live show and make it more professional/less cheesy
- Ban sirens and music on eviction nights
- Start the highlights show with housemates waking up in normal time rather than a montage of them waking up, making breakfast, lying in bed etc.

- Try my best to get live streaming re-introduced
- A vastly improved website/app similar to BBCAN's
- Drop series themes/sub titles with immediate affect
- Be as transparent with viewers as possible/listen and act upon viewer opinion
- No more tacky editing and a fair representation for all housemates in the highlights show
- Stick to the fundamental rules of the format (outside contact being abolished in all forms)
- The (re)introduction of consistent nominations in the form of the BBAU format.
- No more messy launch shows (pre-recorded house tours, Emma interviewing the housemates on launch, Marcus shouting the facts as a housemate enters the house etc)
- No more messy eviction shows (OTT Marcus shouting at the housemates/acting as Emma's co-host, weird camera angles, clichéd eviction scripts, sirens etc)
- No more rushed finals - they will take on a format similar to BBAU's as they feel more like an event.
- A new outdoor set, with an eviction studio built away from the house and the crowd. Also no more curved stairs.
- More diverse casting with as few recruits as possible
- No more re-hashed twists (prize fund, bedsit etc)
- More C4 style houses (isolated staircase, glass walls etc)

and many, many more ideas.

If I was one of the current producers I'd resign.

Stop wheeling Nikki out every season. Gurning dwarf.

Scrap summer CBB. It's actually the most pointless thing on television. I seriously fail to understand why we have two series of CBB per year.

CBB is a January show. Not to mention summer CBB doesn't bring in as much media attention, hype, voting revenue, and ratings as January CBB. So why waste a few million pounds paying celebrities for something that will only get you an extra 0.5m from the flop Civilian Big Brother, which is still over a million less compared to what it rates in the winter.

I seriously can't comprehend it.

1. Bring back Live Feed.

2. Get rid of VTE and bring back VTS.

3. Scrap nominations and have it that one person can fight for imnunity for the week instead with everybody else going up on a VTS.

4. With that format, I would make it that the two with the least votes go straight to the Housemates to decide who leaves until we reach the final (which would be the top 4)

5. Allow for anyone to audition again which would hopefully mean a more diverse cast.

- live feed
- have a door between the steps and the entrance to the house, I used to like seeing housemate console themselves before walking in.
- get rid of the eye stage and bring back the cars dropping them off at the start of the walk way.
- no contact with outside world!! none of these tweets about housemates in tasks.
- open auditions, nobody with an agent or that has been on tv before.
- diary room nominations.
- ban the crowd from bloody going "oooh ooh... oooh ooh" at the start of live shows before Emma walks out...its such a cringe haha

Oh and change the vt's for the housemates, don't have them sitting in a studio, show their original audition from the first rounds of auditions, show them doing stuff outside. Think back to bb7 vt's.

Vote to Save and more real people is all I want.

Oh I also would have cruel tasks.

Nobody's forcing you to watch it.

* I'd stop putting those evicted back in. I don't care if it's now, or if ewe were a housemate 40 years ago, once you're out, you're out!

* No more letters from home.

* No more family visits when time is stopped.

* No more lying in bed all day doing nothing.

* Massive penalties for showmances. You'll receive an extra nomination if you're seen to be tarting to excess.

Pretty much everything that needs to be changed has been mentioned.

I'm well aware of that mate. I could watch it the whole time if she wasn't constantly wheeled out though, which is the point I was making.

Simple, change it back to VTS. When it is VTE, the voting public gets rid of the most entertaining characters leaving the most boring ones in there at the end. This year was a text book example of why VTE doesn't work with this voting public.

Nothing really wrong with vote to evict. Had it been Marc vs. Sam for eviction, as it should have been, Marc's supporters could have saved him. I'm open to vote to save though. But it has to be the 3 or more housemates with the most noms are up.

What they need is a house full of good housemates. That way it doesn't matter who goes and every eviction is a big one. And no one housemate dominates the show like the obnoxious Marc did when he came in.

All the show needs are the following...

A return of the live coverage
A good website, built around the live coverage
12 - 14 really good housemates
Normal noms and evictions
Only 2 or 3 twists at most

It really is that simple. The show doesn't work without the live coverage as you can't get to know the housemates. We used to get 24/7 coverage for 10 weeks, in the last series we got about 64 hours worth of coverage. Less than 3 days worth. That's how pathetic it has become.
