X Factor's Luke Friend has been DROPPED

The singer came in third place on the show back in 2013 and was signed up by Sony label RCA Records shortly after.

His debut single however was seemingly forever delayed and EVENTUALLY got released in March of this year, placing at just Number 40 in the charts.

According to The Sun newspaper, while Luke is technically still signed for the time being there won't be any more music.

"Sadly it is now just a case of waiting until his contract ends," a source told the tabloid.

Still, Luke lasted longer than winner of his year Sam Baily did as she was previously dropped by Simon Cowell.

But maybe he should have auditioned for The Voice UK after all.

It does seem that acts from The X Factor only ever go one of two ways; at the same time that Sam and Luke are back to square one, others are continuing to enjoy huge success.

In the charts this week X Factor acts dominate the top three with One Direction, Little Mix and Ella Henderson all scoring hits.

I'm not surprised because this is the same story for the majority of acts on these shows, it's a rare minority that actually become successful recording artists. I don't agree that he's crap though, he became my favourite by a mile during the live shows.

He has tweeted he is still with them and he was easily the best talent in his series. Not that it was exactly difficult.
