Spice Girls are reforming in 2016? -- Mel B confirms

The Spice Girls will reportedly mark their 20th anniversary with a world tour - without Victoria Beckham.

The girl group released their debut single in 1996 and will celebrate two decades in the spotlight by hitting the road together next year.

However, Victoria - known as Posh Spice in her pop star hey-day - will sit the trek out, deciding to focus on her ever-expanding global fashion brand instead.
A source tells The Sun: 'There is a huge demand for the Spice Girls to get back together, especially with the nostalgia around the two-decade anniversary of their first release next summer.

'Mel B flew into London last month to secretly agree the plan with the other three girls. They should each make more than ten million pounds from this.'

Victoria - who took part in the group's 2007-2008 reunion tour and their appearance at the London Olympics closing ceremony three years ago - still has the option to take part but insists she is too busy.

A spokesperson for Victoria tells MailOnline: 'Victoria loved her time as a Spice Girl and wishes the girls nothing but success & happiness however she is now too busy running her brand and fulfilling the needs of her family.'

Looking forward to the dance routines on mobility scooters! :hehe:

Withano 07-08-2015 08:32 PM

Remember that time they made history? They should have left it at that. Now they're just tacky and desperate.

Braden 07-08-2015 08:35 PM

Happy, but not so happy.

I am without a doubt gonna see them if they end up touring, even if kills me. But it's sad that Victoria won't be there, it just wouldn't feel right.

T* 08-08-2015 12:22 AM

they better do eurovision

Z 09-08-2015 03:15 PM

Not sure why everyone's losing their **** over Victoria not doing it, she's perfectly entitled to sit it out - Mel C and Emma are great singers and it's always a joy to see them perform; the other two are pushy and talentless and a bit on the tacky side, Geri moreso than Mel B. Meh.

Ahead of her hosting gig at the VH1 Big Music in 2015: You Oughta Know concert tonight (9 p.m. ET on VH1), Mel B sat down with Billboard for a chat.

Do your kids ever sing your Spice Girls songs?

Yeah, they do actually. My youngest does but I think she just does it because she thinks it's funny.

Is the 4-year-old aware that it's you?

She's seen the videos because my 8-year-old plays it and goes, "Oh my God, that's mummy!" And my 4-year-old is like, "no it's not." So they're kind of aware. But to them I'm just mom who has an exciting job so they get to come on set, see everything. They know we're possibly going on tour next year so they get to meet all the other girls. So it's lovely.

So the tour is potentially happening?

Potentially, yeah. Once we sort everything out we make an announcement, but right now we're just figuring it all out. Next year is your 20 anniversary so we're really just trying to make sure something happens.
