BREAKING NEWS: Jack quits Mcdonalds

Quote:

Big Brother finalist Jack McDermott has quit his day job after scooping £23,900 on the show.

Jack, who finished fourth in the 2015 civilian series, explained that he left McDonald's to "try new things".

"I spoke to my friends, family and boss to find out their thoughts, and they've all been really supportive. I'm doing this to try new things and to do more of the things I enjoy.

"I'm going to miss it like mad, though. The people, the staff and the customers have made the past seven or eight years absolutely incredible.

"I'll look back on my time with happy memories, that's for sure. In all honesty, if I didn't win the money that I did, I'd be back there now in a flash. It's as simple as that."

He does realise that 20 whatever grand that he left with isn't going to last him forever right?..

Jokes aside though, £23,900 won't really last him long. I don't think that's worth quitting a job you've had for almost a decade for. I'd understand if it was over £100k or something, as that's probably like 6 years worth of McDonald's pay cheques.

It won't last long. I'd hope he has a better job in mind that he thinks he could get or else he'll be applying for his old position again soon.

I don't think he quit because he felt £23k is enough, I think he feels BB has given him the confidence to make changes to his life, to change career, maybe go into hospitality service industry (he really took bb hotel concierge role seriously until pastry gate). Also quitting McDonald's means he is away from day to day fast food temptation as deep down he wants to loose weight and have a girlfriend.

"Everyone's been really supportive"

You haven't got cancer, Jack. You've left McDonald's.

He'll be crawling back there soon anyway, when he's spent all the dollar. Nobody else is going to want him.

He's probably quit so he can gamble his money

He said he'd still be working there if he didn't win the £23,900
