Do you have good friends of a different sex?

Are your good pals all the same sex as you or so you have genuine pals of different sex

I am addressing this to the straight community principally but I guess  would it be similar to ask a gay man if he has pals who are male straight and vice versa with lesbians

In When Harry Met Sally I think they said no man could have a women pal

I know many have but I've never had a very close male friend without there be questions or rumours to ruin it, or they've tried it on.

Niamh. 11-08-2015 11:50 AM

I did when I was younger but not anymore really. Actually one of my best friends is my brother but that probably doesn't count in what you're getting at

LukeB 11-08-2015 12:04 PM

Most of my friends are females tbqh

Firewire 11-08-2015 12:16 PM

All of my friends are of the opposite sex

yes but you are a homosexual so you have to say if you have pals that are male straight :nono:

when i was younger i had more male friends, now i'd say that they were mainly girls.

i mean like at uni, there's like 20 guys out of 180 people doing my course (even though it's only communication and media not like a hairdressing degree or s/t where you'd expect it perhaps) so it was inevitable there. outside of uni i guess it's just from who i've kept friendly with since finishing school and stuff like that idk.

i'd say my closest friend is a female though. I think i kind of prefer being around girls, i was brought up in a mostly female household because my dad was almost absent idk i feel more comfortable i guess

Ninastar 11-08-2015 12:28 PM

my tibb boys of course. when I talk to my family or friends about them, I always call them 'my boys'

they dont know that though <3

Xtopher 11-08-2015 12:29 PM

When I was in school all of my friends were girls. Now it's just men that I frequently talk to.

Lostie! 11-08-2015 12:36 PM

I'm a gay guy and I have straight male friends (but admittedly the majority of my friends are female). On the other hand, I'm not close friends with any other gay males (friendly aquaintances with a couple but that's all).

Daniel. 11-08-2015 12:56 PM

I have two friends I consider to be really close and both are females - I have other friends who are all female too. Not really friends with any gays bar online where I'm friends with loads of gays, also have a few straight male friends

LemonJam 11-08-2015 01:10 PM

Probably about 75% of my friends are straight men.

AnnieK 11-08-2015 02:51 PM

I have a couple of good friends who are guys but I guess I have more girl friends now. I used to have more guys than girls when I was out all the time but now nit so much.

Livia 11-08-2015 03:27 PM

I have one close, straight, male friend and a couple of close gay male friends.

smudgie 11-08-2015 03:52 PM

From teen years on most of my friends were either school friends of both sexes or male friends I met after leaving.
I still consider a few of them as friends..as in we just drifted apart but still very pleased if we bump into each other.
A did have quite a few friends with benefits mind...very handy at times💗
Hubby is my best friend..boring cliche I know, but very true.

reece(: 11-08-2015 04:11 PM

Most of my friends are gals but I can easily get along with guys too because I'm easy going.

T* 11-08-2015 04:13 PM

Yeah!

Amy Jade 11-08-2015 04:14 PM

I have more male friends than female easily, infact most of my female friends I met because of my male friends.

That's not counting online obviously.

Jason. 11-08-2015 04:16 PM

I'm a guy and I have friends of both sexes. Men and women. Admittedly, I hang out more with my male friends, but I still talk to female friends. Especially at work.

the truth 11-08-2015 05:27 PM

most are male friends, I have 1 close female friend though. I find female company on to one is fantastic but in a group it gets a bit noisy

Crimson Dynamo 11-08-2015 06:33 PM

i have none but i am not surprised

i am not surprised either

I have at different times in my life... But not currently I guess. Mostly just couple friends, as in the other families and ours calling on each other and spending time together

Daniel-X 11-08-2015 06:46 PM

Most of my friends are females. All of my best friends are female I could go out on my own with a group of girls but I couldn't with a group of boys. I can go around with boys only if there's like at least two/three girls there otherwise I feel awkward.

i have some friends who are boys but not best friends
