Schoolboy barred from the US as possible security threat

British schoolboy, 8, is barred from the US as possible security threat as he boards flight to Las Vegas for family holiday

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...y-holiday.html

I hope those homeland officials are ashamed of themselves for not letting this innocent child enjoy the holiday he was waiting for!!!

Seriously, how can an INNOCENT CHILD be a 'possible security threat'?? someone explain

I think it's very cruel to ban a child from travelling to the US for a holiday and I hope the homeland official that did this is sacked very soon!!!

Added a poll to see what everyone thinks of this story.

Crimson Dynamo 16-08-2015 01:19 PM

Well perhaps we should find out what was the reason and is the story correct

That kid looks way to dangerous to let into America, from the sounds of it, he was the new Pablo Escobar.

T* 16-08-2015 01:36 PM

Sounds like a case of identity theft, and the security being retarded. It's sad :(

arista 16-08-2015 01:37 PM

"US Homeland Security did not respond to requests for a comment."

Kazanne 16-08-2015 01:39 PM

They must have had a reason, just because he is 8 doesn't make him not dangerous,we need to find out why, first.

Crimson Dynamo 16-08-2015 01:47 PM

There are 11 year old suicide bombers in the world... Perhaps they were OTT and a little extreme, but considering some of the people who exist in the world, I'd rather be safe than sorry tbh.

Tom4784 16-08-2015 05:42 PM

He's obviously the leader of Isis.

Marsh. 16-08-2015 05:44 PM

I don't get it, they were barred for no reason whatsoever?

Ban the children that look like evil suicide bombers. :fist:

That kid looks like the type to count cards in Vegas.

I am not commenting on the particular incident on this thread, because - as LT and Arista quite rightly point out - there is not yet enough information to enable us to form a judgement.

However, I would advise any members who are ridiculing the notion that some children can be dangerous and evil, to remember that Venables and Thompson were just 10 years old when they committed the most inhumane, evil acts on poor Jamie Bulger, and that Abu Ubaidah - the so-called 'youngest ISIS terrorist martyr' was also just 10.

The Security Forces have their reasons for what may seem inane decisions concerning security, and perhaps we ALL should reserve judgement until they deem it safe to reveal details to the general public - or at the very least some on here should refrain from ridiculing other members whose views simply do not align with theirs.

Ninastar 16-08-2015 08:32 PM

Parents get their own children to smuggle things literally all the time. If he was found to have nothing wrong with him and he was completely innocent, then they should be ashamed. But things happen with Parents and other guardians trying to get their children to take things because they think they can get away with it.

I think in all honesty we need to find out more about the story.
