Such a good idea, I hope it really takes off and gets rolled out to other areas, I hate food waste

..if someone provided transport/lorries, couldn't it be taken to food banks and shelters over the country as well....

The food on Olio is mainly fresh or close to sell by date I think Arista meant food for food banks has to have a long sell by date as it has to be stored Ammi, Olio is more of an individual thing for instance someone with an allotment who might not be able to make use of all the veg ie lettuce or if you are about to go on holiday and have things in the fridge which would go over the sell by date by the time you get back which you could give to someone in your area, it's about food wastage and not sending food to landfill rather than feeding the 5000

BBC London showed
One young Girl
got a Lettuce out of a Couples Back Garden
so that was Ultra Fresh.
and they also gave her spring onions free

Illegal Migrants in UK have funding

This is a great idea, until I have my garden established I'd love to take some excess veg of someones hands instead of it going in the bin! :) People getting fresh produce would have to have a means to prepare or cook it so migrants may have some difficulty.
It would be beneficial maybe not to food banks themselves rightly talking only non perishables but they could recommend it when they issue a parcel?

Great app, it has saved me money. Available across the country now.

It's a good idea tbf.

I can't believe that I'm praising an idea from 2023, but I suppose that it had to happen eventually.
