Does Rylan get too much flack?
 

I actually like him now, I don't think he's not irritating to warrant the flack he gets online. I'd much rather him than a dull presenter that took Big Brother/BOTS too seriously - I think he makes BOTS entertaining and I think he takes the flack for BOTS' format being rubbish. If BOTS just improved it's actual content from the house like more exclusives and updates than I think it'd be much better - and Rylan wouldn't get as much flack even though he's given a script.

I hope not, Olly Murs would be pissed.

I do think he gets way too much flack. I don't think he's the problem with BOTS, I actually think he's not that bad at all. It's the production of BOTS which is why it sucks, not the presenter (Rylan).

The only issue I have with Rylan is him appearing in the adverts every series. I don't remember Dermot or Russell being in the C4 Adverts, but then again C4 trailers are different to C5. But I'd prefer if it was just Emma in the adverts, like the Secrets and Lies advert :flutter:

I don't think Davina was in any Big Brother adverts either though? Weren't the trailers just of the house and the eye and Marcus' voice over? There's like a whole big production of them now.

But yeah I agree, it's definitely the BOTS producers that should be blamed for it, not him.

Yeah, that's what I mean. The C4 Adverts were different to the C5 ones. So Davina and Dermot weren't needed for the adverts. I remember Dermot and Russell having a BBLB/BBBM Advert together, during BB7. Why can't they give Rylan one of those for BOTS, and keep him out of the main teasers.

I also think some of the flack stems from the fact he is pretty much the epitome of that OTT, fame-hungry Essex/TOWIE subculture that's not really popular on this kind of show and certainly not on the forums.

I like Rylan I think he does a good job in a difficult situation, some of the audience and panelists should be banned

Well i think no because I find him awful, I hardly watch bots but when I do i cringe at his presenting. Still not over him making out Jackie Travers is some A list celebrity and he was normal towards the others.

Maybe he is, but it's good to have a presenter that actually cares about the show. We could have a presenter who was just doing it for exposure and for something to call a job, but instead Rylan actually loves the show probably only second to Emma.

Yeah, atleast he's a fan of the show. I'd much rather him than someone like George Lamb, who presented BBLB during the last few years on 4, and thought the show was trash and wasn't interested in it at all.

I think Rylan gets way too much flack! I actually really like him and love that he is so passionate about the show. He doesn't take himself to seriously and he seems to make the housemates laugh and feel comfortable which means they reveal more! I think he needs to be passionate and excited to get the audience and panel whipped up. It could be worse, we could have George Lamb...

Yeah he does, and I admit i'm guilty of it sometimes. I think people just try to find something/someone to blame for BOTS being so **** and since Rylan's the presenter and is majorly involved with the show then unfortunately he gets practically all of the blame

I don't think there's such thing as "too much flack". If people don't like the presenter then that's fair do's. I don't think he's very good at all, he gets on my nerves, but it's not me looking for something to blame for the ****ty production, I generally just don't like the guy.

If you think he doesn't deserve the hate he gets then that's also fair do's, but I think the hate he does get is pretty substantial.

I think Rylan tries to make the best of a bad situation re BOTs a lot of the time which is why he tries to inject a bit of humour into it which doesn't always work. I have grown to like Rylan a bit more than when he was in CBB himself, I liked him on the Celebrity Chef programme. So yeah, I do think he gets a bit too much flack when there are far, far, worse presenters out there who are supposed to be experienced in that field, Rylan went into presenting with no skills and managed to make the best of a shi*e programme. The blame for the programme should rest squarely on the Producers shoulders and their lack of ideas etc.

He does to certain extent. I don't think he's the best presenter but it's no lie that's he's gone better from when he first started doing BOTS. He can be a little bit annoying and I do think you can obviously tell the difference in presenting skills between him and Emma. Still I do think he gets too much blame it's just that BOTS has become a cringefest now and most of the segments are terrible like the whole Matt Richardson one last year and Dr Dance and some band who last made a record in the 90s or an act which came 14th on the TXF singing at the start of the show.

No. He's part of the reason BOTS is so sh*te and I actually didn't mind him during BB14.

He's gotten progressively worse and, unfortunately, so has Emma. They both seem extremely insincere and fake these days.
