Is BBUK less extreme than other versions?

Looking at entry/exit tables of foreign versions of Big Brother, they (mostly) seem to have LOADS of housemates, with loads of ejections/walkers - and seem to go on for a very long time. BBUK has never gone over 25 housemates, and has never been longer than 94 days, so what makes it less extreme than foreign versions? Are we just 'lucky' enough to get producers that don't want to drag things out or go too far?

Yep, you brits are really lucky.
My local version runs at least 15 weeks up to 16 weeks - It was great for the brilliant first series and maybe for the next couple, but now it's just the mother of all drags.

I didn't watch any BBUS/CAN/AUS, but I still think that UK does it with the right amount and length.
Too much housemates in 45min/episode can't do well, too much to squeeze creates weak plots and flat characters IMO.

If you compare BB7 UK and BB7 USA, the UK version is a lot more 'intense'. Now BBUK is quite an easy ride with very little imaginative tasks

BBUK has gone too childish to ever really be a tough experience for older teens and adults.

So BB Brazil in 15 seasons only had 4 walkers and 1 ejection lol
