I reckon you need to screw you heads on and open your eyes...

Stop moaning about the racism/non-racism.
It happens every day, so it happened on TV, give me a break, you can't tell me you're going to sit there and tell me you've never been racist intentionally or unintentionally.

It's complete balls, if you ask me you all need to wake up and open your eyes, this world isn't all perfect you know.
Racist murder is rising. Pay attention to the facts.

Sophii3x 16-01-2007 06:21 PM

:shocked:I don't think it's all racism
It's just the bullying that's getting to me

The_Hitman 16-01-2007 06:22 PM

Oh so we should have it on TV then!

No. We shouldnt.

We want reality from real decent people. We dont want reality from the scum of the earth.

Bullying happens everyday in our school system it's a way of growing up and coming of age, everyone has been bullied atleast once, mentally or physically.

Aisleyne for example is a good candidate for being bullied last year.

I know probably everyone has been bullied
But I just don't like it
I have been bullied, it's the worst thing ever

It's reminding me of Jodie in CBB4 and Aisleyne in BB7
and I loved them both

You're acting like being rascist is normal. Imagine going to a country on a reality show and people treating you like this. What has Shilpa done wrong other than be herself????

bonnie43uk 16-01-2007 06:27 PM

yeah, i agree with Soph. Shilpa is being picked on, but there is an underlying racism about it ( IMHO)

But you are correct Jigsaw, this stuff goes on all the time regretfully.

The newspapers in India must be having a field day! Jade and her bullygirls are giving us decent white people a bad name.

Right I think being from a school and area where I'm nearly the only "white" human is a bit of the reason I can relate.

Shilpa has come over to our country, and have many other of her religion/race, and we only care for shilpa because she is a "celeb" it's complete trash, open your eyes, she isn't the only one.

Leona 16-01-2007 06:31 PM

We are not saying she is the ONLY one... this is about everyone who have been subjected to it in the past also and maybe future in BB.
We need to remember that TV is a big medium, if people don't say anything what does that show Kids who may be watching and so on.
Its NOT tolerable Whatever and whoever!

Bells 16-01-2007 06:32 PM

I think it’s the ignorant people that need to screw their heads on and open their eyes. People don’t understand the culture, the morals/respect some people in foreign cultures have been brought up to believe in. Shilpa in my view has done nothing wrong apart from being herself – she’s a huge celeb, has a respectable/confident personality full of morals, and the bitchy girls in there just don’t understand that or seem to wish to understand it. Their behaviour is completely unjustified IMO.

You’re talking about passing racist comments (which in themselves aren’t right, but people do do it as you say), but they're on national TV, what kind of impression are they trying to set?! There’s a huge difference in my view.
This isn't as lighthearted as perhaps a passing racist joke like you suggest, these people are being viewed by many people, and are setting pathetic examples.

Now that it's on the news and everything the situation's been made a lot worse for them.
Fact is, Shilpa is a huge star in her country and internationally, she’s gained plenty of fans here – they’re not going to just sit around and watch like perhaps you might be.

Youre right Leona.

Half the problem is these people claiming that just because racism is an everyday thing, that we should keep quiet.

tinkerbell 16-01-2007 06:35 PM

She's gained a lot of fans, fair enough, but if Shilpa was "racist" to Jo...would your opinion change of Shilpa.

I'm not saying keep it quiet, I disagree with it.
But why has it took one incident to realise such a big thing.

For a lot of people who experience bullying it is the opposite of coming of age.

Just because it happens every day in society it does not mean this should be swept under the cover

Yes, of course. That goes without saying! If she made comments about England, English people, bitched about people behind their backs, of course I wouldn’t be a fan, obviously. :puzzled:

But the fact is that she DOESN’T, she’s been a top girl IMO despite everything so I’m going to stick by her 100%.

I've come from my experience of bullying, and I'm sure you should know that as I faced a trough of it on this very forum, but it shows us how to be a better person it improves us even if it does knock us down.

Bullying Racism and Prejudice will always be part of this planet, and there is only little things we can do to stop it, the day everyone likes everyone will be the day we all roll over and die.
