USA entertaining? ~ UK dull?
 

So far American housemates seem to be the only entertaining housemates whereas UK housemates are lost in background.

James is the only entertaining UK housemate. I literally forget the others are there.

If you view any sort of loud banal conflict as entertainment then sure, US rules and UK drools. I haven't not been entertained by a lot of the Brits, there are definitely more subtle forms of entertainment than Farrah and Janice and Tila, ya know?

This is what I was dreading the most about this series, the overemphasis on the Americans is eventually going to lead to everyone protecting them and defending them at all costs and it's just going to further push this trope that Americans are inherently better HMs when half of the time they ****ing suck.

It's a different dynamic, because obviously only people in the UK can see the show. so the americans know nothing they are doing is actually being seen by their own country. So i think that makes the UK team more guarded and more careful about how they behave. The Americans don't care, it's like george clooney doing a commercial for tampons in japan to them.

I agree that the Americans are better but that's probably because they are known for being pretty wild and the UK HM's know this show inside out.

I don't find Homophobic or just general ignorant abuse entertaining.

It is the reason this show sticks to smaller viewing figures than it would manage if it changed to basing entertainment on other things than abuse.

It is just sticking to the idea that people have to abusive to be entertaining that keeps BB only supported by a "Cult" following.

There's a lot of truth in this, but it's gone so far down this road now that it's hard to see how it could ever return towards its gentler roots. What would more likely happen if it did try and cut down on the negativity is that the sickoes who enjoy this format would drift away, and the old, long gone BB fans would not come back.

I doubt the producers of this circus, who live by ratings show to show, have the guts to risk a further ratings drop by making any changes. We are stuck with a freak show in which hate, selfishness, narcissism, racism, homophobia, and sexism are exploited up to the limits that political correctness allows.

I don't think the Americans are better, just louder. I like a bit of conflict now and then, but constant bitching is boring too, especially when there is no wit involved.
I would like to see more of the Brits, especially Sherrie, the only Loose Woman I like.

all of the brits are dullards apart from James who is so far up Austin's ass, most of the Americans are entertaining apart from Daniel

Being loud, angry and obnoxious does not make you entertaining

It completely depends on what you class is entertaining, because entertainment is a individual preference blanket statements like claiming a certain group are entertaining doesn't make sense.

Some may find the Americans entertaining and some may find them too loud, annoying, arrogant to watch and some may find the Brits boring or some may think they are playing a good game by allowing the Americans to get themselves nominated and evicted first.

People with the loudest voices often have the least to say

they should only put northern celebrities in from the UK - theyd be less dull instead of this lot who make toast when its all kicking off

it should be me at home making the toast gail while you entertain me! i'll never forgive her for that!

Switch James and Daniel with each other and Team UK are the dullest.
