They should get over it

armand.kay 02-09-2015 10:48 AM

lol why is it such a big deal what is even the point of separate toilets.

Kizzy 02-09-2015 10:53 AM

The point is you don't have males in female toilets and visa versa :conf:

Yes

But this Person goes in the Girls bog

Liam- 02-09-2015 10:57 AM

I think until they have the actual transition, transgender students should be allowed access to staff toilets, that would stop the uncomfortable feelings for everyone and said student wouldn't have the worry of deciding which bathroom to use, win win.

'The Caitlyn effect'

What even is that? it's the worst way of transitioning, no emotional or family therapy just loads of surgery and a big 'reveal' to your stunned children?....pffft.

'One student, Sophie Beel, told local station Fox 2 St Louis: 'I find it offensive because Lila has not went through any procedure to become female, putting on a dress and putting on a wig is not transgender to me'.

Maybe the full transition would be a long time to wait however I do think that for her, family and school things are expected due to this 'Caitlyn effect' that things move quicker than they should.

Maybe the lads in a few months when they're used to seeing Perry around school will say they don't want a girl in their toilets?

Girls bathrooms are just a row of cubicles, I don't see why they're making such s big deal of it tbh

I agree with you once again. One day we shall rule the world together.

Indeed. I've thought this for a while, be rid of disgusting urinals (or keep them if people want idc) and have a unisex toilet full of cubicles. We are all human and all need to piss and ****, dividing people by gender is problematic and usually pointless, especially when it comes to where you go to the toilet.

As for the age old transition argument, this myth that transgenderism is only concerned with the physical change to a person is one that needs to be dispelled. Not every trans person wishes to have sex reassignment surgery (SRA) and more to the point, they shouldn't be forced to either. A person's genitalia is completely irrelevant and the business of nobody else unless you're going to sleep with them. Your outward identity and the way that you dress, act and perform to other people, i.e. your gender, is what is important to trans people. SRA is only a small part of that to a lot of people and it's actually quite offensive to suggest that you almost aren't trans unless you transition. Not every trans person wishes to have a major operation on one of the most sensitive areas of their body.

Ninastar 02-09-2015 12:29 PM

I'm sure rape victims will feel the need for seperate gendered toilets. If you're not comfortable pissing with people of the opposite gender in the room, it's not a crime.

Liam- 02-09-2015 12:44 PM

The idea of forcing students to share a unisex bathroom is actually ridiculous, yes we're all human, but not everyone would be comfortable with that at all, sex in school is a big enough problem enough as it is without making sexes share a communal bathroom

It's all about making kids comfortable, if the girls don't want someone who is still biologically a male using their bathroom then they shouldn't be allowed to, I'm all for making people who are going through personal things comfortable, but not at the expense of other people, there are normally separate disabled toilets around schools, let her use those if she doesn't feel comfortable going into the guys bathroom.

Hate people who constantly go "oh it's not what god would've wanted", "it's not normal". If god was the creator of all things, then he created the ability for a man to become a woman.

You'll die in discontent if you live life according to society.

LukeB 02-09-2015 01:15 PM

I don't know why it's a massive deal tbh, she is a female now and should be able to use a female bathroom. I mean it's no harm!
