Day 9: Gail’s plea for peace vid

Day 9: Gail’s plea for peace

Have the arguments got too much too soon? Will the celebrities ever get along? Last night, Gail’s was on a mission to make peace in the House, but how effective will her plea be?

PLEASE shut up Gail.
She is super boring & just wants them all to sit there holding hands & singing.
She should have been first out.

So if Gail knows it's a game why is she bursting into tears every 5 minutes, and why is she telling others how to behave when she didn't take on board that she was running around after people too much, is this Gail's journey from emotional wreck to peacemaker and strong housemate

It's hardly unreasonable for someone in the house (especially someone with clear anxiety issues) to want a calm environment. I really don't understand people who expect the housemates to have a viewer perspective. I mean, why would somebody living there want the drama to continue? That makes no sense. There's a big difference between being a viewer and actually living there, something more people need to recognise.

And no, she shouldn't have been the first out. I'm finding her extremely sweet and endearing and I hope she goes far. :hee:

Someone with anxiety issues should not have entered the house, she was seduced by the fee

I don't doubt it, and what of it? You know the bit in bold goes for everyone in there, right?

And frankly, there's a difference between general drama that one might expect in BB and the level of hostility and vitriol some of these started flinging around from night 1 this series, I don't at all blame Gail if she was caught off-guard by it.

And again, I'm not about bashing someone for actually being decent. It's a sad reflection of society when someone is being lambasted for ... niceness.

tbh, if she has anxiety issues then she really shouldn't have gone on the show - i have anxiety and i would never do a show like BB because i know i couldn't handle it.

But that's you, not all people should be expected to react in the exact same way as everyone else with similar issues.

I do understand what people are saying in regards to BB possibly not being the best environment for her (well, the people who put it forth rationally like you, not those with a bizarre level of hatred towards her), but I also respect her choice to go in (both because, let's be honest, it's a chance to make some more money and I've no doubt she looked at it as a way to tackle some of her issues head on).

Still, as I've said, I think some of the more malicious criticism of her is bizarre.

of course not, but i just don't have sympathy for people who throw themselves into situations that they know they cannot handle

Perhaps not, but I do. Some people may want to confront their issues in order to actually attempt to overcome them, I think that's more deserving of respect than criticism.

And if someone's clearly a nice, decent person, I'll have sympathy for them even if they did make an error of judgement by putting themselves into a certain situation. My more criticial views are reserved for the nasty people of the world.

Oh yeah of course, Gail doesn't deserve any horrid comments about her, it's people like Helen that deserve that. But I was just addressing your point about her anxiety.
