5* to air a civilian Big Brother best bits show (with no Channel 4 footage).

...as part of the current Big Brother Countdown series that is airing on Saturday nights.

Quote:

Channel 5 has confirmed details of a best bits special for Big Brother UK, which will look back on ‘The Good, the Bad and the Outrageous’ moments from the ‘civilian’ version of the show.

Among the highlights the broadcaster plans to feature are Dexter Koh’s naughty antics from the ‘Secrets & Lies’ series, and Marc O’Neill’s tin-foil nudity from ‘Timebomb’.

The official synopsis for the special also says it will relive ‘Power Trip’ housemate Mark Byron’s showmance with “Chris Wright” – even though he was actually linked to Christopher Hall.

The full blurb reads as follows:

Clips include the over-the-top antics and supposed mystic powers of Mark Byron, he of the multiple failed attempts at reality TV stardom, as he negotiated a maybe-kinda-sorta relationship with housemate Chris Wright. Student and stripper Marc OʼNeill loved parading naked through the House, with only tin foil covering his modesty.

Salon owner and ʻcelebrity super-injunctionerʼ Helen Wood got the chance to argue with everyone as she played the game in two separate series. She even went so far as to earn two formal warnings for bad behaviour before eventually winning her series.

Harry Blake owned his own milkshake factory and was a fox-hunting fan, but went too far when he ignored the House shopping list
and ordered nothing but bananas and food colouring instead.

Finally, one of the biggest Big Brother baddies, Dexter Koh was a real-life Christian Grey who was nominated for eviction every week but constantly saved by the public.

The hour-long show will be the fourth of six Big Brother best bits specials airing throughout September, and is the first such special C5 has ever produced for the civilian version.

The first three episodes of the series are focussed on the Celebrity version, but fans criticised the first – which aired last week – for excluding clips from the Channel 4 years.

Big Brother Best Bits: The Good, the Bad and the Outrageous is expected to air on Saturday 19th September on digital channel 5*.

A huge shame about them snubbing the Channel 4 footage again. It would have been amazing if it was included.

I'll be back from holiday then so good.

Looking forwards to it, although I'm not sure what good moments BB12 and BB16 have but hey ho

Firewire 04-09-2015 10:11 PM

Channel 4 wouldn't let them access the footage so they can't help it

armand.kay 04-09-2015 10:12 PM

perched.

AProducer'sWetDream 04-09-2015 10:13 PM

I doubt they're snubbing Channel 4- didn't Jarrod say they were planning to do one in May but Channel 4 wouldn't allow them to use the footage?

armand.kay 04-09-2015 10:14 PM

they should get the c4 housemates to reenact the moments. Here for a modern take on mary v saskia arguing over over the fake dog and boobs speculation.

Denver 04-09-2015 10:14 PM

They have to pay to use CH4 clips and i bet they were asking for a lot

Daniel. 04-09-2015 10:14 PM

So BB13 clips only

armand.kay 04-09-2015 10:15 PM

Tbh I would rather just c5 clips we had enough c4 countdowns before bb11 started.

Get Danielle and Helen to reenact that. i actually want to see this happen.

lmfao @ every series getting mentioned for awful moments (except Mark and CHRIS WRIGHT :joker:) in that promo and BB13 getting no recognition. I ****ing h8 this show sometimes

Jason. 04-09-2015 10:17 PM

We know Dexter and Gina are definitely in there.
Helen will obv be in there for being a villain.
Ashleigh BB15 will too for the feud and hero.

I don't think they want anything to do with Deana as she tried to sue C5 :worry:

Oaker 04-09-2015 10:18 PM

For some reason I have a feeling that C5 don't really like BB13?

I mentioned this before.

They don't

C5 only like BB14 cause it got them ratings. Knobs they are.

BB13 is not really memorable for them. They also like CBB13 and CBB15. But that's CBB.

Dying at the idea of a Mark and Chris showmance. :joker:

Jason. 04-09-2015 10:24 PM

armand.kay 04-09-2015 10:50 PM

She won't since she sued the **** out of Channel 5 :( Plus I don't think the producers really like BB13 anyway it seems to be forgotten about

armand.kay 04-09-2015 10:55 PM

Bye @ ha suing did she at least win

Jason. 04-09-2015 10:57 PM

Apparently both Deana and Conor have history with C5 as does Aaron BB12. Hence why none of them have been associated with the show ever since leaving and are never on BOTS or anything like that.
