Jeepers Creepers 3 in the works

So after a lot of rumours and speculation over the years, Jeepers Creepers is OFFICIALLY in the works:

The “Jeepers Creepers” horror franchise, backed by Francis Ford Coppola, is back for a third time.

“Jeepers Creepers 3” is in development with production expected to launch in Vancouver early next year. Myriad Pictures announced Friday that it will finance the pic, which it’s launching international sales for at the Toronto Film Festival.

The original “Jeepers Creepers” was released in 2001, followed by “Jeepers Creepers 2” in 2003. The two movies centered on an ancient creature, known as “the Creeper,” which hunts for 23 days every 23rd spring for human body parts and organs.

Sounds cool.

I'm a fan of the first two movies. Hope the 3rd one is as good as the other two, I mean it has been over a decade and IMO horror these days is getting more trashy as the years go by but I hope they can pull it off - same way Scream 4 managed to pull it off as a good modern horror film/sequel.

I've only ever watched the second, I remember it used to be on TV all the time. Might be good, I'll keep an eye out on it.

totally agree, have you seen Curse Of Chucky (2013), that was great considering how long it's been since one was made.

Scream 4 was good.

The latest final destination was brilliant.

Some of the modern ones try to be to clever, Insidious is a good example, the plot is way to complicated.

The first 2 Jeepers Creepers were great, really creepy. Might give them another watch.

Why?

It would be annoying if it wasn't any good, considering the first 2 were decent.

I guess it could be great, there's so many remakes/sequels being made atm.

I still need to get around to checking out Curse of Chucky. I stopped watching FD after the fourth film. Are there still sequels being made for that franchise? Yeah, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Scream 4 for a modern horror film. Hopefully JC3 is as good and the IKWYDLS remake.

Daniel-X 12-09-2015 11:26 PM

Final destination five is really good. It contains my favourite FD death with Candice just because her death is actually not too complicated but for a good five minutes your mind is racing over so many different things which could happen to her. FD5 is MUCH better than FD4.

I'd rank them FD2 > FD3 > FD5 > FD1 > FD4

Jason. 12-09-2015 11:28 PM

FD2 is also my favourite in the franchise. There's something eerie about it and I love how it continues from everythining in FD1, if that makes sense.

TBH, they should've left it at 3 films.

The first two were trash, this will probably be direct to dvd trash.

Yeah FD2 is amazing. The vision scene is brilliant and I love Norah's death with the man with the hols and her sons death after he leaves the dentist.

I find FD1 a bit bland and boring but it's okay I guess.

FD5 is definitely worth a watch just because all the deaths are well constructed particularly Candices (You should watch it on YT hold on and I'll post a link)

Curse Of Chucky is really good, it's dark, mysterious and gory.

No comedy element, basically a modern version of the first Chucky, but get's into it a bit faster.

Yep, there making another Chucky following the success of Curse of Chucky. It's been confirmed who writing it, and that the voice actor for Chucky will return.

And theres another FD, apparently. FD5 is really good, definitely worth a watch.

They were planning a remake for Chucky, but instead are doing a sequel.

I loved Scream 4, I personally thinks it's underrated, like some of the reviews are awful.

Completely forgot about the IKWYDLS remake, be interesting to see a modern version of the film.

Yeah, I really hope JC3 will be good, hopefully it will.

Oh

Cal. 12-09-2015 11:43 PM

The first one was extremely scary. The second was fun.

There's only been one more Final Destination film after 4 and it's probably one of the best. The deaths are probably the most simple in the franchise, they just are built up to make you think they're going to be eloborate like someone falling out of a window and another breaking their back on gym equipment but make you feel like they're gonna get burned to death by laser machinery or electrocuted.

Yeah, I've heard about the controversy surrounding Victor Salva. Absolutely vile.

Purge was good, lol, I saw a few 15 rated films when I was like 11-14, but not seen any 15 rated films since I turned 15 lol.

I saw Skyline and Scary Movie 5.

I went to see Scream 4 with my dad (2011), I was 12.

We went to a small Odeon, and they asked for my age, my dad said 14 and they didn't let me in, and asked if there was another movie we wanted to see.

We left, and I begged my dad to go to Cineworld as they'll let be in, but he said we didn't have time
