Big Brother favorite Vanessa Rousso may have missed out on winning the reality competition, but she still had big news to celebrate.

The reality star's long-term girlfriend Melissa Ouellet proposed to the professional poker player before the CBS show's season 17 wrap party, she announced on stage at the bash at Bar10 in West Hollywood on Thursday.

Vanessa showed off her pretty diamond ring and beamed as the happy couple posed for photographs.

'The last 48 hours have been insane...the best part, for me, was today when in my hotel room my beautiful, amazing girlfriend surprised me,' Vanessa told the crowd.

The 32-year-old came in third place on the latest season of Big Brother, after being eliminated in the final week.

While she missed out on the $500,000 prize, Rousso has already won millions throughout her career as one of the world's top professional poker players.
Her live-in girlfriend Melissa opened up to Poker News Daily about how difficult their separation during filming.

It was especially painful to watch the emotional poker champ frequently break down in tears, and not be able to comfort her, Melissa said.

And when Vanessa kisses her ring while on camera, it was the couple's secret 'I love you' to her girlfriend watching at home, Melissa revealed.
'Before Vanessa left to the Big Brother house, we spent 24/7 together and we were inseparable,' she said.

'Being away from her for four months has been a very lonely summer. I do believe this time away will only make our relationship stronger.'

And it seems she was right, as Melissa popped the question on Thursday and a thrilled Vanessa said yes.
