Are you forgiving?

If somebody hurts you are you forgiving and quick to forget or do you stay pissed off for ages?

I'm pretty forgiving, my ex cheated on me and I talk to him now, not much but we are civil and I speak to a girl who used to bully me in school.

LukeB 31-10-2015 11:56 PM

Sometimes I do give 2nd chances but if they mess up again then I will not forgive them ever.

Drew. 01-11-2015 12:39 AM

Depends what it is.. Most situations I am though

Tom4784 01-11-2015 12:45 AM

I'm quick to forgive most things.

Jamie89 01-11-2015 03:25 AM

Usually yes but I realised recently I'm more vengeful than I used to think

Mystic Mock 01-11-2015 03:45 AM

I can be pretty unforgiving for most of the day if someone has done something against me on purpose, but I do tend to let it go once the day is up.

Ammi 01-11-2015 04:00 AM

...yep, for me I don't think forgiveness is about saying...it's ok, that you did that thing and we'll just carry on because how you 'carry on' with that person is always on our own terms really...it's more for yourself and letting go of the negativity, which will always hurt you more than the person that the lack of forgiveness applies to...we forgive/we let go/we free ourselves...

Natalie. 01-11-2015 07:04 AM

Depends what it is really
I suppose I am quite forgiving, takes a bit of time though

DemolitionRed 01-11-2015 07:50 AM

I'm really intolerant when it comes to the inconsiderate actions of others, but I'm not the type to hold onto a grudge. If someone does something that has me distrusting them, then I'll always be cautious around that person, though I will forgive their past deeds.

Online is different. I've had some fare old arguments online and I know I've had a few people hate me for it but I've never held a grudge with anyone on the internet for more than a day or two. Lifes too short.

Am I ****. I ALWAYS get my revenge if I have to wait years, but very, very, strangely - call it what you will, Karma, Divine Retribution - a lot of people who have wronged me have suffered without me lifting one vengeful finger.

I am pleased to say.:hehe:

Did the girl who bullied you at school apologise Amy Jade? 'Cos I would'nt have spoken to her if she hadn't - whupped her ass more like.

I'm the same - you 'oribble, argumentative, trouble-causing cow.:laugh::laugh: Just kidding Red.

Yes we can get annoyed, irritated, frustrated and angry by arguing online, but holding a grudge is silly.

Jordan. 01-11-2015 08:34 AM

Eventually but I'm stubborn to the core

Cherie 01-11-2015 08:40 AM

Pretty stubborn, I avoid interacting with people I have no time for

Good - That's cool then. When I was 14 a gang of grown men - all in their late 20's (seemed like giants to me at the time) beat me and my friend up for no reason. I got each and every one of them back when I was 19 and am OK with 3 of them now all these years later.

joeysteele 01-11-2015 09:42 AM

I can be but really unless the person is really sorry and makes amends I may withhold forgiveness.
If anyone were to really hurt me twice, they would be out of my life for good.

Crimson Dynamo 01-11-2015 09:53 AM

too forgiving

That's awful, I think with the age gap especially.

This girl was never somebody who got physical, I think she was a follower and she agrees it was to fit in. I was only hit twice, I used to take the name calling but if people touched me I used to go crazy haha

Babayaro. 01-11-2015 10:31 AM

Yes I am, but usually i'm too forgiving which is annoying

Daniel-X 01-11-2015 10:35 AM

Yeah very forgiving almost a little too forgiving at times

smudgie 01-11-2015 10:50 AM

Day to day stuff life is too short to hold grudges.
Big stuff...much better for yourself just to let it go and not eat you up, not so much forgiving as forgetting and getting on with life.

Good for you Amy Jade. I detest bullying of all types.
