Labour MP Jess Phillips stays on Twitter after Rape threats
Maybe it would be better kept out of the press
its like you are inviting the Punks to do it again. http://media.skynews.com/media/image...-1-736x414.jpg You have been on Every News Channel even Radio 5 AM. http://news.sky.com/story/1579384/mp...t-rape-threats [The outspoken member for Birmingham Yardley faced death threats and was told she should be "raped in front of everyone" after dismissing Conservative MP Philip Davies when he called for a discussion in Parliament on International Men's Day.] I would Love a Mens day so many men are killing themselves |
Phillip Davis is a twonk, ( just my opinion) I do not think she should be railroaded off social media by trolls. Good for her to continue I hope anyone who makes such threats would be found, named and shamed.

Alot of people on Twitter are a ****ing disgrace.People who would never say disgusting **** like that to a lady in real life somehow think it's ok to do it on the internet. They should'nt even be thinking things like that nevermind typing it out to people.
|
Why not have a Man's Day? If women want equality you can't then give women preferential treatment. Someone should tell her that some are not necessarily more equal than others.

There already is an International Men's Day. What she did was scoff at the idea that this day is set aside to debate male issues the same way Parliament does for International Women's Day because, as she pointed out, the idea that males lack a forum to discuss issues they consider important is pretty silly considering how Westminster is and always has been very male dominated

Men honestly don't need that. Male privilege is very much still deep-rooted and this isn't about "let both genders have days!!1 equality", as men have not faced oppression yet women have. It's like asking for an international straight people day. What purpose would that serve other than shove it in minorities' faces that their day is no longer special because straight people have one too now? (but to clarify I am not a big fan of Jess, especially since she told Diane to F off. Should've been suspended imo) |
