It's been claimed that Peter Andre fears he has been 'barred' from winning Strictly Come Dancing this year.


The bizarre reports come after the singer and reality TV star apparently decided not to take part in next year's live Strictly tour.

The Sun newspaper carries the story that Peter thinks show bosses don't want him winning after opting not to take part in favour of his own music tour in the new year.

A source told the tabloid: “Pete believes he’ll be denied the Glitterball as they want the winner on tour at all costs.

"But he has his own live swing tour which is going to bring him loads more money and did not want to commit to weeks more Strictly.”

A spokeswoman for Peter told the tabloid that "he was trying to make an appearance on the Strictly tour."

While Peter topped the Strictly leaderboard in the first week he's so far failed to replicate the success facing repeated criticism from the judges.

Craig Revel Horwood claimed last week that the former favourite to win was in danger of becoming an "also ran" in the competition.

Meanwhile this isn't the first time that Strictly has been involved in fix allegations over its tour.

Last year the Daily Star newspaper reported on claims that Pixie Lott and Jake Wood had both been kicked out of the competition by the judges after they too failed to sign up for the live arena show.

The 2016 Strictly tour will be hosted by Mel Giedroyc and star judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood (who also directs the tour) and Bruno Tonioli. So far Frankie Bridge, from last year's series, is the only confirmed celeb on the line up.

Why did he think he was going to win anyways :conf: Too many left in are way better than him. Would love to see him in a dance off soonish just to see his face drop.

So basically going in he expected to win but his support isn't as amazing as he hoped because he's so marmite and he's one of the lest exciting dancers so he has to come up with a way for his huge ego to cope with it so invents a conspiracy theory.

he seems like a nice guy , the constant jibes he's getting is tiresome :notimpressed: And he is better than the likes of Jay , Kate , Kellie etc
the only thing i agree with is he wont win because he's not as popular
as Jay, Kellie & Georgia and i think even Helen is more popular than him
even though he has way more of a personality than her but whatever :idc:

I don't like Peter very much, but I'm not believing anything that these tabloids say, after all they tried to make out that in series 9 of TXF that Christopher Maloney had strangled a woman.
