Should CBB18 start in June next year?
Something that could make ratings slightly rise is have CBB18 the same time big brother usually starts which would last around 4 weeks. Then, without a huge break (maybe 3 days or something) BB17 is launched. This will be fresh after the more popular cbb which will have a better affect than the other way round.
This would last around 8 weeks but with room to extend it just in case it ends up like BB5 or something. |
No!

No they've missed with the BB schedules too much as it is. It should be an annual event when you know the time it's coming on ect - like IAC and XF instead of being messed about with. They're always changing the length and the time.http://i.imgur.com/3b8v5ft.png

Channel 5 has revealed the first details about the three Big Brother UK series in 2016 as it seeks a new sponsor for the show, with another May launch possible for the civilian version.
Sky Media, which became the broadcaster’s advertising sales agency earlier this year as part of its tie-up with Viacom, has posted vague scheduling information for the year ahead on its website. The next Celebrity Big Brother in January will last for a minimum of 26 days – although the last winter run ended up becoming the longest ever on 31 days. The seventeenth normal series will span a minimum of 64 days and begin in either May or June – suggesting that C5 is still open to the idea of a May launch, even though the last run suffered a ratings drop after it was brought forward three weeks from the usual early June start. CBB will then return for its summer edition in either July or August for at least 24 days. C5 and Sky are looking for a new sponsor for all three series, with interested brands being offered exclusive product placement inserts, BB brand licensing and a microsite fronted by presenters Emma Willis and Rylan Clark in addition to the usual TV advertising slots. This suggests that soft drinks firm Lucozade has ended its second stint as Big Brother’s sponsor. Having previously backed the tenth series on Channel 4 in 2009, it returned for the ‘Timebomb’ civilian and ‘UK vs. USA’ Celebrity runs this summer. The last winter CBB was sponsored by shopping website Gumtree. Yesterday, C5’s director of programmes Ben Frow promised we’ll see a “very different” Big Brother next year as producers seek to revitalise the show following its disappointing performance. Given how badly the ratings went with the May launch this year why the hell are they thinking of doing it again? It's like they want to purposely run the civilian series into the ground...

CBB18 should start in January 2017.
