AsdaWalmart is not doing a Black Friday Discount
This makes sense as
AsdaWalmart and Tesco both looked terrible on the Worldwide News http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34774289 |
Don't blame them!

'Brave move'
Retail analyst Nick Bubb said Asda's decision did not mean the end of the discount day. ["Despite the general recognition that too much discounting ruins Christmas trading prospects, it's not the end of Black Friday, because online players, such as Amazon, are fully committed to it, as well as stores like Currys and PC World. "But Asda were clearly sensitive to the embarrassing scenes last year of people fighting over cheap TV sets in their supermarkets and wanted to avoid any risk of reputational damage," he said.] |
It was embarrassing to watch people fighting to buy a £100 telly worth £50.
Shameful. |

Yes in Tesco as well |
online shopping is the way to go
|
Yes as the thick common uneducated masses embarrass themselves
|
Good for them, after that embarrassing shambles last year I don't know why anyone would.
Actually, why do we have Black Friday in the UK in the first place? |
Good.
|
Good this is one American import we can do without
|
As long as Amazon are still doing it
|
They tried something out, it didn't really work for their business and they're moving on from it. Fair enough. Also, I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for john lewis:
"John Lewis has no choice. We are part of this whether we want to be or not," Haha |
John Lewis have their price match promise, and they do great bargains of their own as well.
Plenty of bargains to be found online all year long to be fair. |
Can't blame them. The scenes on the news were horrific last year, people being trampled and whatnot.
