EastEnders has been praised for a scene in last night's episode between Tamwar and Nacy where Tamwar gave the true meaning of Islam.

he scene, which wasn't slotted in at the last minute and was in the script weeks ago, saw Nancy (Maddy Hill) asking her boyfriend Tamwar (Himesh Patel) about his religious text The Quran.

When Nancy asked Tamwar why he had a specific page marked, Tamwar recited a passage in Arabic and explained that it means: "Do good to relatives, orphans, the needy, the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who's a stranger, to the companion at your side, and to the traveller."

"That to me, is what Islam is about," added Tamwar. "Be kind to people, family and strangers alike, and love them."

I thought more or less the same,it was really well done and maybe some people will take those thoughts in.

I missed it but I think it's more things like this we need to be seeing, good on them
